This IR (Infrared) sensor is specifically designed to work with the ES32/ES16 LED stair step light controller. It consists of two key components: an IR emission probe and an IR reflection plate. The IR emission probe emits an infrared signal which is then reflected by the IR reflection plate.
It is important to note that the distance between the IR emission probe and the IR reflection plate should not exceed 1.4 meters. (It means that your stair width should be less than 1.4m/4.6ft to use this sensor). This is to ensure that the infrared signal is strong enough to be accurately reflected and picked up by the IR sensor. If the distance between these two components is too great, it can result in weak or distorted signals, leading to incorrect or unreliable readings.
This IR sensor is used for ES32/ES16 stair lighting control systems, once the presence of people is detected, the stair controller can then respond to this information by turning the stair lights on or off. (The stair sensor is Installed on the first or last stair step.)
