Technical Specifications

The BC-354 is a constant voltage rgbw controller engineered for direct, tactile color management across common anode LED installations. Operating across an auto-adapting input range of DC 12V to 24V, it delivers up to 5A per channel across 4 distinct outputs (20A combined total), handling 240W at 12V or 480W at 24V without requiring external amplification. Designed for operators who need to know how to control led lights without remote hardware, the unit provides 4 independent manual rotary potentiometers for Red, Green, Blue, and White channels, paired with 4096 grey scale levels per channel for granular color mixing. An onboard 3-digit 7-segment LED digital display provides immediate visual feedback for the active operating mode, speed, and brightness value. Built-in protection automatically halts output and displays an ERR alert if short circuits or overloads occur. Supplying LED strip lights and accessories since 2015, SuperLightingLED has shipped lighting controls to customers in 123 countries and regions, with 26.4% of our customers order again (8,829 of 33,446 buyers).

Application Scenarios

Custom Color Mixing for Hospitality Displays Adjust hospitality backbars, restaurant coves, and retail display cases to precise corporate tones without searching for a lost handheld remote. The 4 analog dials allow staff to dial in exact Kelvin temperatures on the white channel while adding subtle color washes on RGB channels.
Equipment Enclosures and Testing Benches Integrate manual color adjustment directly into industrial workstations, broadcast edit desks, and quality inspection racks. The clear 3-digit numerical tube confirms exact mode and speed parameters for reproducible testing benchmarks across 12V and 24V LED strip loads.
Architectural Cove Lighting with Power Expanders Drive expansive linear accent runs across banquet halls and conference lobbies. Connect the master PWM terminal to multiple synchronous repeaters to expand beyond 480W while maintaining uniform color synchronization across every perimeter section.
Sheltered Architectural Accent Control Deploy inside an IP-rated weatherproof enclosure to serve as a reliable outdoor light controller for patio perimeters, exterior eaves, and landscape facades. Direct panel-mounted knobs enable rapid seasonal color adjustments without relying on wireless signal penetration through masonry.

How to Control & Use This Controller

  1. 1. Disconnect all AC power sources before stripping or terminating any electrical cables.
  2. 2. Connect your DC 12V or DC 24V constant voltage power supply output terminals to the INPUT screw terminals (DC+ and DC-), ensuring proper polarity.
  3. 3. Connect the 5-wire RGBW LED strip leads to the OUTPUT terminals: common anode to V+, red cathode to R, green to G, blue to B, and white to W.
  4. 4. Inspect all copper strands to confirm no stray wires bridge adjacent terminals, then apply primary DC input power.
  5. 5. Press the ON/OFF button to power on the controller. The digital tube will illuminate to display current operating values.
  6. 6. Rotate any of the 4 rotary potentiometers to switch directly into Mode 1 (manual DIY color mixing). The display reads out real-time grey scale values for the selected channel.
  7. 7. Press MODE+ or MODE- to step through the 37 pre-set dynamic patterns, or hold either button for 3 seconds to initiate the automatic full-cycle mode.
  8. 8. Use the SPEED+ / SPEED- buttons to modify dynamic program intervals across 16 steps, and BRT+ / BRT- to set overall lumen intensity across 16 levels.
  9. 9. Press the PAUSE button during any animated effect to lock the color state instantly; press it again to resume normal dynamic transitions.
  10. 10. For installations exceeding 5A per channel, route the controller output to the signal input terminals of a compatible PWM power repeater.
⚠ Precautions
  • Ensure the DC power supply output voltage precisely matches the rated operating voltage of your connected LED strip.
  • Never connect the controller directly to AC 110V or AC 220V mains power; use a regulated DC constant voltage power supply.
  • Do not exceed the maximum current threshold of 5A on any single channel or 20A across the entire unit.
  • Mount the controller in a clean, dry, well-ventilated location away from strong magnetic fields and enclosed heat sources.
  • If the display flashes ERR, immediately disconnect main power and inspect the output wiring for pinched wires or short circuits.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: how to control led lights without remote?

A:The BC-354 features 4 independent rotary knobs and 7 integrated push buttons directly on the chassis. You can dial in custom colors, switch across 37 pre-set modes, change speed, and set brightness without needing a handheld wireless remote.

Q: how to connect rgbw led strip?

A:Connect the positive black wire of your 5-wire LED strip to the V+ terminal, then land the individual Red, Green, Blue, and White negative conductor wires into the corresponding R, G, B, and W output screw terminals.

Q: how to power 24v led strip?

A:Connect a regulated 24V DC constant voltage power supply to the BC-354 input terminals. The controller automatically detects the 24V supply and outputs matched 24V PWM dimming power up to 480W total load.

Q: how to wire 24v led strip?

A:Strip 6-8 mm of insulation from the power feed and strip wires. Land the DC supply wires into INPUT (+ and -), then wire the 24V RGBW LED strip common anode to OUTPUT V+ and channel leads to R, G, B, and W terminals.

Q: what is rgbw led strip?

A:An RGBW LED strip contains four separate diode emitters on the circuit board: Red, Green, Blue, and a dedicated White diode (such as 3000K Warm White or 6000K Pure White). This allows clean pastel tones and pure white illumination that standard RGB strips cannot produce.

Q: how to control rgb led strip without remote?

A:Connect your 4-wire RGB LED strip to the V+, R, G, and B terminals, leaving the W terminal empty. You can then use the R, G, and B rotary knobs and mode buttons on the BC-354 to manually adjust colors and effects.

Q: what is dmx controller for led lights?

A:A DMX controller sends digital serial protocol signals (DMX512) over data cables to decoders, whereas the BC-354 is a standalone constant-voltage PWM power controller that directly drives LED strips using onboard hardware without needing DMX consoles or addressing.

Q: how does rgbw led strip light work?

A:RGBW LED strip lights work by delivering constant voltage power through a common positive anode while modulating current through four separate negative cathode channels. The controller varies the pulse width (PWM) on each channel to produce millions of blended colors.

Q: are my led strip lights rgb or rgbw?

A:Examine the solder pads and copper traces on your LED strip. A standard RGB strip has 4 contact pads labeled (+, R, G, B), whereas an RGBW strip features 5 contact pads labeled (+, R, G, B, W) to drive the extra white channel.

Q: What does it mean when the LED screen displays ERR?

A:The ERR notification indicates that the onboard circuit protection has detected an overload or short circuit on the output terminals. The unit automatically halts power output until the fault is resolved and power is cycled.
