How to Use This JST SM Connector

  1. Identify the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals on your LED strip and power source. The red wire corresponds to positive, and the black wire corresponds to negative.
  2. Strip a small amount of insulation from the ends of the JST connector wires if necessary.
  3. Solder the red and black wires of one connector to the corresponding positive and negative pads/wires of your LED strip.
  4. Solder the red and black wires of the mating connector to the corresponding outputs of your power source or the pads of the second LED strip.
  5. Align and push the male and female connectors together firmly. You should hear a 'click' as the locking latch engages, securing the connection.
