How to Use This Gapless Connector

  1. Repeat the process for the second LED strip on the other side of the connector to complete the seamless link.
  2. Firmly press the transparent cover down until it clicks shut. Using a pair of pliers can help apply even pressure for a secure lock. The pins will pierce the strip from the back, creating a strong connection.
  3. Align the copper pads on the strip directly with the piercing pins inside the connector. Double-check the polarity markings.
  4. Gently slide the end of the LED strip into the connector channel, making sure the strip slides underneath the metal contact pins.
  5. Open the transparent cover of the Hippo-Buckle connector. The cover will hinge open.
  6. Ensure your LED strip is 10mm wide with 3 copper contact pads. Cut the strip cleanly along the designated cut line.

⚠ Precautions
  • Always verify the polarity (+, -, DATA/CCT) is correctly aligned between the two strips before closing the connector.
  • Ensure the connector is snapped fully shut to guarantee a reliable, flicker-free connection. An incomplete lock may result in intermittent contact.
  • This connector is designed for SMD-type LED strips. It is not compatible with high-voltage strips or most COB strips that lack exposed solder pads.
