This non slip stair edge nosing balances the stairway lighting needs of both the up and down spaces of the stair treads, evenly illuminates the whole stair space. The profile is surface-mounted along the edge of the stair tread, featuring two LED light strips on its surface for illumination, 6mm of space to accommodate small 5mm/4mm led strips and 4mm of space to accommodate 3mm/2.7mm micro lights to illuminate the over stair tread space. There is also a light strip illumination point beneath the profile, with 11.2mm of space to accommodate 10mm led strip lights to illuminate the under stair tread space.
This stair step lighting design ensures a clear line of sight without making you feel uncomfortable when walking around because of the uplighting. Screwed onto the steps and made of aluminum, it's durable enough to withstand long periods of foot traffic walking around.
Note: As the 2m aluminum stair nosing lighting trim is too long, the package size will exceed the DHL/UPS/TNT requirement (4feet), so extra long transportation costs will be required if your 2m order is <10 pieces.
The QSG-8038 profile is a versatile lighting solution that creates layered, high-tech stair lighting effects through three independent light positions. Two lights illuminate the stair surface, while one is concealed beneath the stairs. Using the same voltage for strip lights across all three positions will simplify wiring.
Using COB led strips as an example, for a 12V stair lighting system, you'll need: one 4mm COB strip, one 2mm COB strip for tread surface illumination, and one 10mm COB strip for under-step illumination per profile.
To achieve visual harmony and consistency, it is strongly recommended to select the same color temperature for all three light strips. Mixing different color temperatures creates visual fragmentation, disrupting the overall aesthetic effect. For residential environments, warm white light between 2700K-3000K creates a cozy, comfortable atmosphere.
If you plan to use the ES32 stair controller, one output channel corresponds to one 4mm COB strip, one 10mm COB strip, and one 2mm COB strip per step. Purchase the appropriate number of strips based on your stair tread count.
