This Mean Well 12V power source category includes both Class II wall-mounted LED adapters, such as GS06E/GS06U, GS15E/GS15U, GST25E/GST25U and GST36E/GST36U, and Class I desktop-style LED adapters, including higher-power GST models. The available products cover applications from small plug-in lighting loads through substantially higher-power adapter-based systems.
The important difference between the two protection classes is their electrical construction: Class II 12V power adapters use double insulation and do not require a protective earth connection. Class I 12V adapters use single insulation and require protective grounding.
