RGB+CCT 6CH Controller Series

49 products

The MiBoxer (Mi-Light) RGB+CCT 6CH Controller Series consists of constant-voltage LED controllers that are directly compatible with—or compatible with RGB WW CW lighting fixtures when set to the correct output mode.

These controllers feature six output channels, including one positive electrical output and five color outputs; each channel outputs a fixed color and can control 6-wire RGB dimmable white light strips operating at 12V, 24V, or 48V.

Delivering a high load capacity from 12A to 30A, this series ensures stable and reliable power performance for indoor and outdoor color-changing LED lighting installations. Match with MiBoxer (Mi-Light)  RF RGB+CCT remotes.

FAQ About RGB+CCT 6CH Controller Series

Direct answers to technical wiring, power calculation, RF pairing, and protocol integration questions for 6-channel RGB+CCT LED controllers.

A 6-channel RGB+CCT LED controller powers one common positive wire and regulates five individual ground return channels to control color and white balance simultaneously. The six screw terminals on the output side correspond to V+ (positive power), R (red), G (green), B (blue), CW (cool white), and WW (warm white). This circuit architecture lets you dial in any saturated color from 16 million shades while independently mixing the dual-white channels from 2700K to 6500K on the same LED strip.

To wire a MiBoxer RGB+CCT controller to a 6-pin LED strip, align the common anode (V+) first before terminating the five color ground wires. 6-pin LED strip lights do not follow a universal pinout order across different factories. Some ribbons order their solder pads as V+, R, G, B, CW, WW, while others place the common positive in the center or swap warm and cool white. Check the letter stamping printed directly on your LED strip tape rather than trusting wire insulation jacket colors. For tricky terminal runs, consult our step-by-step guide to wiring RGB+CCT LED strips before tightening the terminal cage clamps.

A genuine Mi-Light RGB+CCT controller lets you blend RGB colors and tunable white diodes simultaneously, depending on the command mode from your remote or app. In standard color mode, turning the color wheel illuminates the RGB diodes while keeping the white diodes dark to maintain pure hue saturation. However, sliding the saturation slider on your remote mixes warm or cool white into the color blend to create pastel tones. You can also drive both sets of chips together for maximum room illumination, provided your DC power supply has enough amperage to support the combined current draw.

Size your power supply by taking the total wattage of your RGB+CCT LED strip lights and adding a 20% safety margin. If you install a 10 m run of 24V RGB+CCT tape rated at 24 W per meter, total continuous consumption reaches 240 W. Applying the 20% safety headroom (240 W divided by 0.8) gives you a required driver rating of 300 W, or 12.5A at 24V DC. Check your controller's label: models like the PR5 handle up to 20A total, easily carrying a 12.5A load without heat buildup.

A Mi-Light RGB+CCT controller receives wireless RF signals up to 30 m in clear air and automatically relays commands to other controllers within 30 m. This built-in mesh repeating function means you can control LED strip runs spanning an entire commercial floor without running control cables between fixtures. As long as no controller sits farther than 30 m from another synchronized receiver, the control chain remains unbroken. When installing inside metal cabinets or behind reinforced concrete, signal penetration drops to roughly 10 m to 15 m, so plan controller spacing accordingly.
