Instead of relying entirely on screws, clips or permanent recessed installation, our magnetic mounting system allows the aluminum profile to be attached and removed quickly from a compatible metal surface or mounting base.
This gives you something a conventional fixed LED profile cannot easily provide: You can install it, remove it, reposition it and access it again without rebuilding the entire mounting system.

A magnetic LED light diffuser is an aluminum channel that holds your LED strip light. It does two main jobs: the plastic cover, the 'diffuser', smooths out the light to reduce the harsh dots from individual LEDs, and powerful magnets on the back let you snap the whole thing directly onto any steel surface. It’s the fastest, drill-free way to add lighting to metal shelving, cabinets, and workspaces.
They only stick to ferrous metals—that means iron and steel. A common mistake we see is people trying to mount them on aluminum shelving, which isn't magnetic. The easiest way to check is with a regular fridge magnet. If it sticks, you're good to go. If not, you'll need to use the provided mounting clips for a mechanical fix.
The neodymium magnets we use are exceptionally strong for their size, designed to securely hold the aluminum channel, the LED strip, and its wiring without any issue. For a vertical or overhead installation, just make sure the steel surface is clean and flat to get the maximum grip. They won't budge in a normal setting.

Not under any normal operating conditions. The magnets we use are permanent and will hold their magnetic force for decades, far outlasting the LEDs themselves. The only things that can permanently weaken them are extreme heat—well over 176°F or 80°C—or a severe physical shock, neither of which should happen in a typical lighting install.
