LED UV Flashlight
3 productsUV flashlights are portable UV light fixtures with built-in LED SMD light sources. They are generally categorized into 365nm and 395nm. By stimulating a fluorescent reaction, flashlight UV light can be used for detecting counterfeit money, gemstone exploration, uranium glass viewing, detecting pet urine, hotel cleaning, covering daily needs and industrial needs. 365nm UV flashlight can stimulate brighter fluorescence, so it is more popular than 395nm UV flashlight, and the price is usually higher.
A qualified UV LED flashlight should not only emit the exact UV wavelength. It needs to be durable, easy to use, has great heat dissipation, and provides long-lasting performance. We offer blacklight flashlights in a variety of sizes and powers. Most ultraviolet flashlights are equipped with ZWB2 black light filters, effectively filtering visible light and improving fluorescent response. Aluminum alloy construction is drop-proof and durable, with strong sealing for outdoor use. UV LED chips are coated with thermal paste for good heat dissipation performance. Rechargeable UV flashlight supports TYPE-C charging or battery charging, providing long battery life.
Generally, professional UV flashlight focuses on outputting a specific band. To meet diversified needs, we also offer dual-head UV A LED flashlight that combines true 365nm and 395nm wavelengths, perfect for rock and mineral hunting.

Frequently Asked Questions About LED UV Flashlights
Got a question about choosing or using a UV flashlight? I've answered thousands of them over the years. Here are the most common ones.
A UV flashlight is used to see things the naked eye can't by making them fluoresce, or glow. Common uses include detecting counterfeit money, finding pet urine stains you thought you'd cleaned, mineral and gemstone hunting (rockhounding), checking hotel room cleanliness, scorpion hunting, and curing certain types of resins and glues.
The main difference between a 365nm vs 395nm UV flashlight is the purity of the UV light and the brightness of the fluorescence. A 365nm light produces a more intense, dramatic glow in fluorescent materials and emits much less visible purple light. 395nm is less expensive but the fluorescence is often weaker and washed out by the visible violet light it also produces. For serious inspection or mineral work, 365nm is the standard.
What a UV flashlight can detect depends on the material's ability to fluoresce. They are very effective at revealing pet urine (urea), certain bodily fluids, counterfeit currency security strips, scorpions, automotive A/C leak detection dyes, and fraudulent document alterations. Many minerals and gemstones, like calcite and fluorite, will also glow brightly under UV light.
To find the best UV flashlight for rockhounding, you need a filtered 365nm wavelength. This wavelength causes the strongest fluorescence in many minerals without washing it out with visible purple light. High power is also key for searching in daylight or covering large areas.
A portable UV flashlight is your best bet for mobility and targeted inspection. You can carry it in your pocket for on-site checks, like HVAC leak detection or mineral prospecting. A UV flood light, on the other hand, is designed for illuminating a large, fixed area, like a stage for a black light party or a curing station in a workshop. It's about having the right tool for a mobile vs. a stationary job.
Some multi-function flashlights include different light sources for versatility. A UV light is for fluorescence, but a standard white light is needed for general illumination—you can't find your way in the dark with just UV. A green light is often used by hunters and in aviation because it preserves night vision better than white light. Our 6-in-1 multi-source torch combines these for users who need more than just one tool.
Battery life depends entirely on the power level and model. Our high-power units will run for a few hours on a full charge, while smaller inspection lights last longer. All 3 of our current UV flashlight models are rechargeable, using either a standard battery charger or a modern TYPE-C USB port, so you don't have to keep buying disposable batteries.
The IP54 rating on our rechargeable UV flashlight means it's protected against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction. You can't submerge it, but it's perfectly safe to use outdoors in the rain or in a dusty workshop. This level of water resistance is one of the key things that sets our professional-grade flashlights apart from many of the non-rated models on the market.
