It comes down to two things: your glass thickness and the effect you want. First, measure your glass. We have profiles for fixed 8mm glass and adjustable ones for 8mm to 16mm panels. Second, decide if you want the glass edge to glow for ambiance (choose an edge-lit profile) or if you want to illuminate objects below (choose a 45-degree angled profile).

That depends entirely on your glass. For the whole panel to glow brightly, you need special 'light guide' acrylic or glass that has been frosted or laser-etched. Standard clear glass won't carry the light through the panel; you'll mostly see a bright, glowing edge with some nice internal reflections. The effect is still striking, but managing expectations on the glass type is key to getting the look you want.
