Our Wide Commercial Recessed LED Profiles are designed for projects where a standard narrow LED strip channel is simply not wide enough.
For recessed lighting with a 50mm to 100mm overall profile or luminous opening, we provide wider aluminum channels that can create a much broader and more noticeable light surface. These recessed aliminum LED profiles are suitable for both direct and indirect lighting concepts, as well as commercial ceiling systems that require a larger integrated linear fixture.
Direct 50mm+ Recessed Lighting with Wide LED Strips
For direct recessed lighting, our wide commercial profiles can accommodate wide LED strips around 40mm or wider, depending on the specific profile.
Instead of creating a narrow line of light, the LED strip fills more of the recessed opening and produces a broader continuous luminous surface. This is particularly useful for commercial spaces where the lighting needs to provide a stronger visual presence while remaining integrated into the ceiling.
We recommend this configuration for offices, retail stores, hotels, corridors, conference rooms and other large interior spaces where a wider linear light can provide both functional illumination and a stronger architectural effect.

Indirect Ceiling Lighting with a Wider 50mm+ Light Effect
A wide luminous effect does not always require a 40mm+ LED strip. For indirect ceiling lighting, we can use two narrower LED strips, typically around 8–12mm each, or one strip around 15–20mm wide, and position the light source to project upward inside the recessed profile.
The light reflects from the ceiling surface and spreads across the wider opening, helping create a soft 50mm+ luminous effect without filling the entire profile with a wide LED strip.
This approach is particularly useful when you want a broader, softer architectural glow rather than direct downward illumination.

The final light distribution will depend on the LED strip position, profile geometry, diffuser, ceiling reflectivity and installation conditions, so we recommend selecting the profile and light source as a complete system.

It really comes down to three things: size, thermal management, and build quality. Commercial spaces are bigger, so they need wider, brighter lines of light. Our commercial recessed channels are built to house high-output LED strips, often multiple strips side-by-side, and their larger aluminum mass is crucial for dissipating the extra heat. That's the key to making sure the LEDs last.
You need the right combination of channel depth, diffuser type, and LED strip density. For these wider commercial profiles, a frosted or opal diffuser is a must. The deeper the channel, the more space the light has to mix before it hits the diffuser. Most importantly, use a high-density LED strip. Absolutely. This is a huge part of what we do and something most suppliers won't touch. We can cut nearly any of our commercial profiles to the precise length you need for your job. Just send our engineers a drawing—a CAD file, a photo of a sketch, it doesn't matter. We'll send back a full wiring diagram and parts list, usually within 12 hours.
