There isn't a magic ceiling light calculator, but we spec it based on the job. For task lighting over a kitchen island or desk, a narrower 20-50mm profile works great. For general lighting in a living room or bedroom, look at the 75-120mm range. The really bold 150mm and 200mm wide profiles like our extra-wide commercial channel are architectural statements, perfect for lobbies, boardrooms, and large open-plan offices where you need big light output and visual impact.

With a good quality frosted diffuser and the right strip, you won't. The depth of these channels and the wide diffuser do a great job of blending the light. For a completely seamless, dot-free line of light, especially if it's reflecting off a glossy surface, your best bet is to use a high-density tape (120+ LEDs/m) or, even better, a COB LED strip.
