Waterproof LED Light Channel Series

These waterproof LED channels create a physical barrier around the light strip. You place your regular, non-waterproof LED strip inside the diffuser housing and the aluminum housing, then use a quality silicone sealant on the end caps. This sealed enclosure protects the strip from direct water spray and dust, getting you to an IP65 rating. It's the standard way to build robust, custom-length outdoor and bathroom lighting.

It's what we call a 'belt and suspenders' approach, but we recommend it for critical outdoor jobs. While the sealed channel provides the main IP65 protection, using an IP65 or IP67 waterproof LED strip light inside adds a valuable second layer of defense against seal failure or condensation. It's great extra insurance, especially in very humid climates or coastal areas.

Absolutely. You can cut both the aluminum channel and the PC diffuser to any length you need on site. A miter saw with a fine-toothed blade for non-ferrous metals will give you the cleanest cut on the aluminum. For the plastic diffuser, a simple handsaw or even a sharp utility knife against a straightedge works fine. Just remember to smooth any sharp edges before fitting the end caps.

There aren't specific waterproof connectors to join these channels. The standard method is to butt them tightly end-to-end. To ensure the lighting is continuous and protected, we recommend using a single, long waterproof LED strip inside. That way, the light source itself is still sealed even if a tiny bit of moisture gets into the hairline seam between the two butted channels.

No, these are not designed for in-ground use. Their IP65 rating is for protection against rain and splashes, not for being buried or sitting in standing water. For driveways, patios, or floors, you need a profile specifically built to handle foot traffic and prolonged water exposure. 

A waterproof channel provides a complete architectural solution: it's rigid, protects the strip from bumps, and diffuses the light for a smooth, finished look. An IP67 waterproof led strip light is just a flexible strip sealed in a silicone sleeve. While it's waterproof on its own, it can look wavy or unfinished when installed, offers no diffusion, and has less physical protection. For a professional-looking job on a deck, patio, or in a bathroom, the channel is the way to go.
