White LED Backlight Sheets

Even light. A white LED sheet is designed to give you a perfectly uniform, hotspot-free glow across a surface, which is crucial for backlighting materials like onyx or acrylic. An LED strip is great for linear lighting, like in a cove, but can create noticeable lines or dots if you're trying to light a panel from behind. Sheets LED lights cover an area; strips LED lights cover a length.

Match the light to your stone's tone. For countertops with warm, earthy colors like many granites, a warm white from 2200K to 3000K looks best. For pure white quartz or modern materials, a neutral white around 4000K gives a clean, natural look. We have a guide explaining the differences in white light if you want to see examples. The ideal distance is usually between 20mm and 50mm (about 3/4" to 2"). This gap allows the light to spread and diffuse, creating that smooth, even glow. Simplicity and efficiency. If your goal is just clean, bright, high-quality white illumination for a countertop or sign, a single-color white LED sheet is the most direct and cost-effective way to do it. You don't need the more complex controllers that color-changing or tunable-white setups require. 

It's all based on total wattage. Add up the watts for every sheet you plan to run. For example, if you have four 28W sheets, that's 112W total. You'll then need a power supply that can handle at least 20% more than that, so a 150W driver would be a safe choice. Overloading the power supply is a common mistake that will cause it to fail early.

Nine times out of ten, it's a bad connection. First, check that the connectors between sheets are pushed in all the way. If you've cut and soldered the sheets, a cold or cracked solder joint is the most likely culprit. Flickering can also mean your power supply is overloaded or there's an incompatibility between your dimmer and driver.
