LED Ring Light

It's all about creating soft, even light that wraps around your face and kills shadows. A good LED ring light produces a balanced, flattering light that lets you see true colors without harsh spots, which is why they're essential for makeup artists and anyone on camera.

You want lights that show you true-to-life color, which means a high Color Rendering Index (CRI) and the ability to change color temperature. Look for a CCT tunable white LED ring light. This lets you switch between warm, neutral, and cool white to see how your makeup looks in different environments, from indoor office lighting to daylight.

An RGB LED ring light creates white by mixing red, green, and blue. The result is usually a bit off, with a pink or blue tint. An RGBW ring light adds a separate, dedicated white (W) LED chip. This gives you both vibrant colors and a pure, high-quality white light for when you need it for tasks, making it much more versatile. 

Yes, and that's often the desired effect. That circular reflection is called a 'catchlight,' and it's a signature look in portrait photography and vlogging that makes eyes look more vibrant and alive. The size of the ring and its distance from you will change how the catchlight appears.

For our addressable LED ring lights, you need a controller that can send a data signal. This could be a microcontroller like an Arduino or Raspberry Pi for full custom programming, or you can use one of our dedicated addressable pixel controllers that come with pre-programmed effects and a remote.

Most of our LED ring lights designed for photography or streaming come with a standard tripod mount (usually a 1/4"-20 thread) on the base. Many also include an adjustable phone holder that mounts in the center of the ring. This lets you position your phone or camera right in the middle of the light source for the most direct, even lighting.
