LED RGB+CCT Underwater Light

9 products

Remote Controlled Submersible LED Lights from MiBoxer Mi-Light brand, compatible with RF wireless or DMX control signals, have the highest IP68 waterproof rating to ensure their reliability and safety in pool, pond and other water bodies.

These smart RGB+CCT color changing led submersible lights are designed with AC12V or DC12-24V low voltage to ensure safety when operating underwater. Made of corrosion-resistant and waterproof materials, with effective sealing design to ensure that water will not penetrate into the interior of the submersible light.

Three types are available, recessed or underground led submersible light, wall mounted led submersible light, and adjustable angle led submersible light.

FAQ About LED RGB+CCT Underwater Light

Direct engineering answers on wiring, low-voltage power, RF and DMX control, and IP68 installation for submersible pool and fountain lights.

An LED RGB+CCT underwater light combines five independent chip channels—red, green, blue, warm white (2700K), and cool white (6500K)—inside a hermetically sealed IP68 housing. Standard RGB pool lamps mix primary colors to fake white light, which always leaves a messy purple or green tint in water. The dedicated CCT channels produce clean, high-CRI white light from candlelight amber up to crisp daylight, while the color diodes allow custom architectural water scenes. You get functional evening visibility and decorative color tuning from a single low-voltage fixture.

Most LED RGB+CCT underwater light models in our catalogue accept AC12V or DC12~24V low-voltage input. Underwater electrical codes prohibit line-voltage AC120V/230V inside wet basins. 24V DC is our recommendation for new installations because it draws half the current of 12V, letting you run longer wiring lines from the equipment shed to the pool edge without visible voltage drop.

Water absorbs high-frequency 2.4GHz radio waves within just a few inches of submersion, which makes standard Wi-Fi or Bluetooth remotes useless once fixtures drop below the waterline. Miboxer under water lights like the PW01 and UW03 use narrow-band 433MHz LoRa modulation instead. The longer 433MHz wavelength penetrates wet environments and heavy concrete coping, providing up to 50 m of reliable wireless range. That means your handheld transmitter can cycle modes and dim brightness from the pool deck without requiring an antenna tethered to the surface.

An LED RGB+CCT underwater light carries a full IP68 ingress rating and operates reliably submerged up to 1.5 to 2 meters deep. Water pressure increases by roughly 1 psi for every 2.3 feet of depth, which stresses cable gland seals and lens gaskets. For pool and pond accents, installing fixtures 40 cm to 60 cm below the waterline gives the ideal beam spread across the floor while remaining accessible for routine servicing. Do not install these fixtures in deep municipal reservoirs exceeding 2 meters without consulting our engineering desk for pressure-rated gland modifications.

Wall-mounted fixtures like the UW01 and UW02 mount flat against finished tile or gunite using a baseplate bracket, making them ideal for retrofitting solid walls without cutting niches. Recessed models sit inside pre-cast PVC wall sleeves so the lens sits flush with the pool surface, preventing swimmers from catching gear on the rim. PAR56 units like the PW01 and PW02 match the standard sealed-beam form factor, slipping directly into existing 7-inch underwater niches to replace legacy 300W halogen bulbs without replumbing.

Signal loss occurs because water mass creates an RF barrier, especially if the wireless transmitter is kept low or if the lights sit on the opposite wall behind a deep shelf. While 433MHz LoRa handles water far better than 2.4GHz, you still need clean line-of-sight from the transmitter to the water surface. If your control box sits inside an underground pump vault or behind metal pool barriers, install an IP67 signal repeater above ground to relay commands cleanly down into the water.

Corrosion will ruin standard 304 stainless steel in salt pools, which is why our submersible fixtures use electro-polished 316 marine-grade stainless steel housings and vulcanized silicone O-rings. Chlorine levels between 1.0 and 3.0 ppm and saltwater systems up to 4000 ppm will not damage the 316 alloy. However, you must bond the fixture housing to your pool equipotential bonding grid using copper bonding lugs. Without proper grounding, stray currents in chlorinated water trigger galvanic pitting that eats through metal casings within a single season.

Operating an LED RGB+CCT underwater light out of water will cause thermal throttling or burn out the diodes within a few hours. These submersible units are engineered with compact bodies that rely on surrounding water as an active heatsink. When operated in open air, thermal resistance spikes, internal temperatures climb past 85°C, and the driver shuts down or diodes suffer phosphor degradation. If you need matching color-tuned fixtures above water on perimeter pathways or coping stones, use our landscape floodlights instead.

Independent underwater lights feature built-in RF receivers and dual-voltage input stages, allowing them to connect directly to standard 12V or 24V transformers and pair with wireless remotes. SYS subordinate lamps like the SYS-RW1 and SYS-RW2 use a 3-wire DC24V bus that carries both DC power and digital data from a central SYS-T1 host controller. Subordinate fixtures reduce per-unit cost and guarantee synchronization across long fountain lines, but every fixture must feed back to the central host controller rather than operating standalone.

Never leave a cable splice inside the wet pool niche or buried conduit. Water pressure forces moisture along the wire strands inside the jacket through capillary action, eventually filling the driver chamber. Always pull continuous factory-jacketed wire through conduit up into an IP67 deck box located above the maximum pool water elevation. If you must join extensions, use heat-shrink sleeves lined with hot-melt polyolefin adhesive or cast-resin potting kits.
