Product Information

If you are looking for the perfect balance of high pixel density and DIY versatility, our DC12V WS2811 Addressable RGB+IC Strip Light (72LEDs/m) is engineered just for you. With a slim 10mm PCB width, this strip is highly adaptable, making it an incredibly user-friendly choice for custom gaming setups, under-cabinet accents, and creative DIY lighting crafts.

One of the greatest advantages of this WS2811 strip is its high adaptability for multi-zone layouts. You can easily cut a standard 5-meter reel into multiple shorter lengths according to your project needs. The best part? These customized shorter segments can all share a single DC12V controller and power supply, keeping your wiring clean, centralized, and hassle-free.

Packing 72 premium SMD5050 RGB LEDs per meter, this WS2811 IC led strip offers a high density of 24 pixels per meter (totaling 120 pixels over a 5-meter reel). With every 3 LEDs grouped as one individually controllable IC segment, it delivers fluid, dynamic color-chasing effects. Fully compatible with popular programming libraries such as Adafruit NeoPixel and FastLED for Arduino.

The standard 10mm PCB width makes it highly versatile. It fits perfectly into many common aluminum profiles and channels, allowing for diffused lighting. It's also compatible with a wide size of neon tubings for dot-free lighting.

This high-density 72LEDs/m 12V WS2811 RGB strip packs a punch with a maximum power consumption of 17W per meter. While shorter cut segments run flawlessly on single-ended power, we highly recommend injecting power at both ends of a full 5-meter continuous run. Dual-ended power feeding ensures uniform voltage distribution, keeping your colors perfectly consistent and your brightness brilliant from the first pixel to the last.

LED Strip Light Guide

Common questions about this type of product, answered against this model’s own options. For full figures see the specification above or the spec sheet for this model.

Which controller does this LED strip light need?
Addressable LED strip lights take a data signal, so they need an SPI (pixel) controller that supports this IC — an ordinary RGB controller will not drive them. Data flows one way: connect the controller to the input end marked with the arrow. Wiring addressable LED strip lights
Do I need power injection?
5 V addressable LED strip lights lose voltage fastest, so longer runs need power fed in at both ends and at intervals along the run; 12 V and 24 V versions carry further. Keep the data line short between controller and first pixel. Choosing an addressable LED strip light
Which waterproof rating should I choose?
Available on this model: Underwater IP68 - Adhesive Back · Outdoor Silicone Tube IP67 - Adhesive Back · Surface Glued IP65 - Adhesive Back · Non-Waterproof IP20 - Adhesive Back. IP20 is for dry indoor use, IP65 handles splashes, IP67 suits outdoor and wet areas, IP68 is for continuous submersion. Choosing a waterproof rating
Can I cut it to length?
Yes. Cut only on the marked cut lines between the copper pads — the cut interval for this model is on its spec sheet. Rejoin with solder or a solderless connector. Cutting LED strip lights · we can also cut to length and fit your connector before shipping: custom LED strip light assembly.
What size power supply do I need?
Take the watts per metre from the specification above, multiply by the length you are running, then add about 25% headroom. Power calculation guide · Choosing a power supply
