MW UL-Listed IP67 Power Supply
13 productsFor 12V LED strip and lights installations exposed to rain, moisture, dust, condensation, or other demanding environmental conditions, SuperLightingLED offers Mean Well IP67 waterproof 12V power supplies designed specifically for outdoor and wet-location applications.
Our IP67 12 volt DC power supply range covers approximately 18W to 600W, providing power options for compact outdoor accent lighting as well as higher-power LED installations. The ruggedized, sealed construction helps protect the internal power electronics from environmental exposure while providing the stable 12V DC output required by the lighting system.
These AC to DC 12V power supplies are suitable for outdoor 12V LED strips, landscape lighting, patios, decks, architectural accents, building outlines, signage, and other applications where the power supply driver cannot be kept in a completely dry indoor location.

Why IP67 Matters for Outdoor and Wet-Location 12V LED Lighting
Using a 12V power supply outdoors is not simply a matter of choosing the correct voltage and wattage. A standard indoor switching power supply may provide perfectly stable 12V DC output but still be unsuitable for an exposed environment.
An IP67-rated 12V LED power supply provides a much more appropriate enclosure for outdoor conditions. However, the entire lighting system still needs to be designed for the environment. The LED strip, connectors, cable joints, controller enclosure, and AC/DC wiring must all have appropriate protection for the installation.
Mean Well IP67 vs. Standard 12V Waterproof LED Power Supplies
The Mean Well IP67 12V power supply for LED lights series is positioned for customers who want a recognized industrial power-supply platform, UL-listed options, and a wider selection of professional power levels and form factors. The Mean Well 12V power source range includes models from the LPV, LPH, XLG, and HLG families, covering applications from compact outdoor LED installations to high-power systems.
Choose a standard 12V waterproof power supply when your priority is a straightforward and economical IP67 power source. Choose Mean Well when the project places greater emphasis on brand reliability, UL-listed professional power supplies, long-term system stability, higher-power options, and compatibility with demanding commercial or architectural LED installations.
Dimmable Mean Well-Compatible 12V Outdoor Power Supplies
A waterproof LED power supply does not necessarily have to be non-dimmable. In addition to standard constant-voltage IP67 Mean Well 12V DC power supplies, this category also includes selected outdoor 12V dimmable LED drivers that combine IP67 protection with compatibility with common lighting control methods.
The basic system is: 0-10V Controller → IP67 Dimmable LED Driver → 12V LED Strip.
This can be particularly useful for outdoor architectural lighting, hospitality spaces, landscape accents, covered patios, commercial exteriors, and other waterproof 12V LED strip light installations where brightness needs to be adjusted without sacrificing environmental protection.
When selecting a outdoor driver for your 12V LED strip, check input voltage, 12V output, maximum load, IP rating, dimming method, dimmer compatibility, and wiring configuration.
Frequently Asked Questions About MW UL-Listed IP67 Power Supplies
Got a question about choosing or installing your outdoor 12V power supply? I've answered thousands of these over the years. Here are the most common ones.
These units come with bare wire leads for your AC input (Line, Neutral, Ground) and DC output (Positive, Negative). All of these connections *must* be made inside a proper NEMA-rated waterproof junction box. The single most common mistake we see is people using regular indoor wire nuts and wrapping them in electrical tape. Water will always find a way in. Use grease-filled waterproof wire nuts or other sealed connectors to protect your splices.
It completely depends on the model. Some of our HLG series, like the HLG-320H-12B, have a "B" at the end of the part number. That means they have built-in 3-in-1 dimming and can be controlled by a 0-10V, PWM, or resistance-based dimmer. The more basic LPV series, however, is non-dimmable. You can still dim the LEDs powered by an LPV, but you have to put a 12V PWM dimmer on the low-voltage side, between the power supply and the lights.
Think of it as good, better, and best. The LPV series is the workhorse in a plastic case—great value and perfect for many standard jobs. The XLG and HLG series are higher-performance units in rugged metal housings. They generally have higher efficiency, a wider AC input range (up to 305VAC), a longer warranty, and more advanced options like the built-in dimming circuits. For high-power installations or critical commercial projects, the HLG series is the go-to choice.
IP67 means the power supply's housing is completely sealed against dust (that's the '6') and is protected against temporary immersion in water up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes (that's the '7'). It's ideal for getting rained on, hit by sprinklers, or installed in very damp locations. It is not, however, designed for permanent submersion in a pool or pond. For that, you need an IP68 rating.
Go with Mean Well when the project demands proven reliability, a UL listing for inspection, or higher performance specs. Mean Well is an industrial power supply brand with a global reputation, and their drivers are built for longevity. If you're doing an architectural lighting project, high-end landscape lighting, or any commercial installation where callbacks are costly, the Mean Well is worth it.
