Product Information

This High Power Infrared Led 850nm Strip is one of the densest infrared light strips available with a double row LED design that integrates an ultra-high density of 240 lights per meter. Provides high intensity infrared illumination while maintaining uniformity of light and comfort. The dual row infrared 850nm led strip has an FPCB width of 15mm and comes with a strong adhesive backing, providing excellent flexibility and ease of installation. Operates on DC12V or DC24V and is suitable for a wide range of application scenarios.

SMD3528 lamp beads are favored for their low power consumption characteristics, with an ideal light output and power consumption ratio. The power consumption of the whole roll of 850nm light strip is only 80 watts. Although 850nm is invisible light, a faint pink glow can be observed through cell phone cameras. This high-density infrared led design is particularly suitable for applications that require fine infrared illumination, such as security surveillance, industrial inspection, and medical equipment.

850nm vs 830nm vs 810nm vs 780nm vs 730nm vs 660nm vs 635nm:

780nm is considered the boundary between infrared and visible red light. Wavelengths exceeding 780nm fall into the invisible infrared spectrum, while those below 780nm belong to the visible spectrum. Although 810nm, 830nm, and 850nm are invisible wavelengths, they produce red dots when used in LED lights. 730nm, 660nm, and 635nm are all wavelengths within the visible red spectrum, with red hues ranging from dark crimson to vivid scarlet.

Superior IR density for crystal clear security footage

We used these double-row 850nm strips to provide supplemental illumination for a multi-camera security perimeter. The density of the 3528 chips is the real advantage here; it creates a much more uniform infrared flood compared to single-row or larger 5050 chips. While there is a very faint red glow visible at the source, the performance on our CMOS sensors is incredible, turning pitch-black areas into high-contrast, clear images. The 24V system ensures that the brightness remains perfectly even across the entire 5-meter run, which is vital for preventing "dark corners" in the camera frame. The build quality of the PCB is heavy-duty, which helps handle the power required for this level of IR output. This is a professional-grade component for anyone needing to extend the night vision range of their surveillance system.

LED Strip Light Guide

Common questions about this type of product, answered against this model’s own options. For full figures see the specification above or the spec sheet for this model.

What voltage does this LED strip light run on?
This model is offered in 24VDC · 12VDC. Lower voltage means a shorter run per feed: at 12 V feed power roughly every 5 m, at 24 V roughly every 10 m. Longer runs get power injected at both ends. Connecting to the power supply
Which waterproof rating should I choose?
Available on this model: Underwater IP68 - Adhesive Back · Waterproof IP67 - Adhesive Back · Surface Glued IP65 - Adhesive Back · Non-Waterproof IP20 - Adhesive Back. IP20 is for dry indoor use, IP65 handles splashes, IP67 suits outdoor and wet areas, IP68 is for continuous submersion. Choosing a waterproof rating
Can I cut it to length?
Yes. Cut only on the marked cut lines between the copper pads — the cut interval for this model is on its spec sheet. Rejoin with solder or a solderless connector. Cutting LED strip lights · we can also cut to length and fit your connector before shipping: custom LED strip light assembly.
What size power supply do I need?
Take the watts per metre from the specification above, multiply by the length you are running, then add about 25% headroom. Power calculation guide · Choosing a power supply
