We designed our LED puck light kits to be complete, out-of-the-box solutions. They're typically built around a central hub that connects multiple pucks, running on safe, low-voltage DC12V. Each light is incredibly slim, often just 8mm thick and 60-80mm in diameter, making them easy to hide under cupboards or inside display cases. With a power draw of only 2-2.5W per puck, you get bright, focused light without the energy bill. This focused approach makes them perfect as kitchen under cabinet downlights or for illuminating shelves and closets without any fuss.

Installation and Control Options for White Puck Lights
All our white puck lights are designed for simple surface mounting. Because they are so thin (usually 8mm), they become virtually invisible once installed under the lip of a cabinet, so you don't need to do any complex cutting for recessed puck lights.
Our kits are built for convenience and typically include 3, 5, 6, or 8 pucks, a power adapter, and a central connection block. You simply mount the pucks with the included screws or adhesive, plug the lead from each puck into the block, and connect the block to the 12V power supply.

Puck lights are small, round, low-profile lights, usually about the size of a hockey puck. They're designed to provide focused task or accent lighting in tight spaces like inside cabinets, under shelves, or in display cases. Unlike a continuous light strip, they create distinct pools of light, which is great for highlighting specific objects or areas on a countertop.
You have two options: surface mounting or recess mounting. For surface mounting, you just use the included screws (or sometimes a strong adhesive) to attach the puck light directly to the underside of your cabinet. For a flush, built-in look, you can recess them by cutting a hole for the light to sit inside. Our slim pucks are only 8mm thick, so they're almost invisible even when surface mounted.
Always wire your 12V LED puck lights in parallel. Each puck needs the full 12 volts from the driver. If you wire them in series, you're dividing that voltage between them, which will make them very dim or prevent them from lighting up at all. It's a common mistake, but an easy one to avoid. All of our kits come with a central hub or splitter to make parallel wiring simple.
It's all about the color of the white light, or the color temperature. 3000K is a warm, yellowish white, like a classic incandescent bulb—great for creating a cozy feel. 4000K is a neutral or natural white, very clean and balanced, which is perfect for task lighting in kitchens. 6000K is a cool, bluish-white, often called daylight, that provides a crisp, modern look. We only stock low voltage puck lights, specifically 12V DC models. This is for safety and ease of installation in spaces like kitchens and bathrooms. 120V puck lights require an electrician and careful handling of line voltage wiring. With our 12V systems, you run low-voltage wires from a central power supply, which is much safer and more forgiving for DIY installations.
Our standard white puck lights are rated for dry, indoor locations only, like under cabinets. They are not waterproof and shouldn't be used in showers, soffits, or anywhere they'll get hit with water. For a truly waterproof puck light, you'd need a product with an IP67 or IP68 rating that are often just water-resistant.
This depends on the wattage of the pucks and the wattage of the power supply. It's a simple calculation: add up the total wattage of all the pucks you want to use, then choose a power supply with a wattage rating at least 20% higher. For example, if you have six 2.5W pucks, that's 15W total. You'd need a power supply rated for at least 18W (15W x 1.2). Don't max out the driver; that 20% buffer is crucial for longevity.
To minimize the 'hotspot' effect, you want a puck light with a good diffuser. All our pucks have a frosted lens to soften the light and create a more even pool of light rather than sharp, distinct spots. The height of the cabinet also matters—the further the light is from the surface, the more the light will spread and soften. If you want a completely dot-free line of light, you might consider our COB LED strips instead.
Absolutely. This is a huge part of what we do. Many projects have cabinets with odd spacing or an island that's far from the main run. Just send us a sketch of your layout—even a photo of a napkin drawing works—with the dimensions. An engineer here will map out a full kit with the correct wire lengths between each puck and from the driver, then send you a parts list and a quote, usually the same business day. There's no fee for this service and no obligation to order.
It uses a small infrared (PIR) sensor built into the face of one of the pucks, which becomes the 'master' control. When you swipe your hand within about 10cm (4 inches), it toggles the lights on or off. If you hold your hand steady under the sensor, it will smoothly dim the lights up or down. It's great for kitchen use when your hands are messy and you don't want to touch a switch.
The LEDs are soldered directly to a circuit board that's designed to dissipate heat and in the puck light. If one does fail prematurely, you just unplug it from the distribution hub and replace the entire puck unit. We sell individual replacement pucks for this purpose.
