COB LED Chips

17 products

Upgrade your illumination projects with our extensive range of COB (Chip-on-Board) LED chips, engineered for superior thermal management and light density. Our collection includes high-power COB LED options ranging from 1W to 100W, featuring advanced copper substrates for rapid heat dissipation and extended lifespans of up to 100,000 hours.

High-Performance COB LED Chips for Custom Lighting & Repairs

These COB light chips serve as the ultimate replacement parts for broken downlights, mining lights, and street lamps. By choosing the right voltage and wattage, you can achieve professional-grade results in any DIY lighting fixture.

If your LED project requires a linear aesthetic rather than a single powerful beam, we also offer COB LED strips to create a continuous, dot-free line of light over long distances.

For enthusiasts diving into custom lighting, our available Addressable NeoPixel LEDs go beyond single colors to unlock endless creative possibilities.

Frequently Asked Questions About COB LED Chips

Your project needs a specific light source. Here are the common questions we answer before you buy.

A COB (Chip-on-Board) LED chip packs many small diodes tightly together under a single phosphor coating. This creates one uniform, high-density light source. An SMD (Surface Mount Device) LED uses individual, larger diodes spaced out on a board, which is why you see distinct dots of light on older-style strips.

For a bright 6500K light, you'll want to focus on wattage and efficacy, not just the color temperature. A 50W or 100W COB chip will provide serious output. Look at the chip's datasheet for its lumen (lm) rating — a high-quality chip might produce 130-150 lumens per watt. Our Vero series chips, for example, are excellent for applications needing high-quality, powerful light.

Yes, but only the specific models designed for it. These are often called 'driverless' or 'AC COB' chips. They have circuitry built right onto the board to handle the high voltage AC input directly. It makes wiring simple for repairs or DIY projects. Just be aware they can be more sensitive to voltage spikes and may require specific types of dimmers if you want to control the brightness.

We do this all the time. A huge part of our business is building parts to a customer's drawing that never appear on the website. For COB LED chips, we can source specific CCT and CRI bins, pre-solder lead wires to your specified length, or mount the chips on a custom-shaped and sized aluminum MCPCB for your fixture. Just send us your sketch or requirements. An engineer will get back to you with a full plan and quote, usually within 12 hours, with no fee or obligation.

A flexible LED filament is a special type of COB light. It's essentially a very long, thin, and narrow COB that's designed to be bent into custom shapes for decorative and artistic lighting. Unlike high-power COBs meant for intense illumination, these are low-power and run at very low voltages, like 3V. They're perfect for things like custom signs or lighting up models, like in our DIY flexible filament kits.
