Types of RGBW LED Strip Lights

• RGBW 4-in-1 LED: RGBW four color LED chips are in the same SMD 5050 LED, which is further improved in color and visual range than the RGB led strip.
• R+G+B+W LED: Four individual single color LEDs, you can independently control the four single colors.
• RGB+W LED: RGB 3-in-1 LED plus white LED, can separately control RGB color and white color separately.
• RGBW COB LED: Linear lighting without light spot, no dark areas.
RGBW led tape light color changing effects are controlled by RGBW Controller. By mounting some ICs on the RGBW light strip can make the effect more dynamic and customized (and this is the difference between PWM RGBW led strip and digital RGBW led strip).

How to Choose the Right Controller for Color Changing LED Strip Lights?
Color changing LED strip lights do not work with standard dimmers. Each color type requires a matching multi-channel controller to independently manage color channels, brightness levels, and lighting effects. Choosing the wrong controller is the most common cause of color shift, unstable performance, and limited functionality.

Color changing LED strips (RGB, RGBW, RGBCCT) change the color of the entire strip at the same time using multi-channel controllers. Addressable LED strips (also known as RGBIC, RGBWIC, RGBCCT+IC) include built-in IC chips that allow each LED or group of LEDs to be individually controlled - this enables advanced effects such as chasing, flowing, and segmented color patterns. They require different controllers and wiring methods and are not interchangeable.
Yes. SuperLightingLED™ multi-color LED strips can be cut at marked cut points. However, soldering or proper connectors are required to reconnect the channels correctly.
Yes, but it's best to choose the colorful strip lights with an IP67 or IP68 waterproof rating.
Yes, but you must replace the controller with a compatible RGBW or RGBCCT controller. The power supply can usually be reused if the voltage matches and capacity is sufficient.
This is usually caused by: Incorrect controller type, Insufficient power supply, Long runs without power injection, and Poor or loose wiring connections.
This depends on the controller's current rating and the strip's power consumption. As a general rule, power injection is recommended every 5–10 meters to avoid voltage drop and uneven brightness.
The CRI of pure color LED strips is typically low. High CRI applies only to white lights of RGBW and RGBCCT light strips. Our white light generally achieves a CRI of 90 or higher, accurately reproducing the true colors of objects and making it suitable for high-end interior design.
