Unlike SMD static white light strips, COB static white light strips feature at least 300 to 720 LED chips per meter—or even multiple rows totaling 960 to 1,600 chips—significantly improving light uniformity.

SUPERLIGHTINGLED Non-white single color COB strips refer to COB light strips that can only emit a single static colored color such as red, deep red, green, marrs green, blue, ice blue, lake blue, tiffany bule, yellow, golden yellow, orange, pink, purple, etc.

Choosing a colored COB light is about more than just picking "blue" or "red." The specific shade creates the mood. One thing to keep in mind: colored COB LEDs will have a lower lumen number than white LEDs using the same power. That's not a defect; it's physics. Lumens are measured based on how bright the human eye perceives light, and we're most sensitive to the yellow-green spectrum. A deep red or blue light is just as powerful, but your eyes register it as less intense.

Tunable white COB LED strip, also referred to as CCT COB LED strip, allows you to freely adjust color temperature ranging from 2700K warm white to 6500K daylight white, this is because the light strip itself already has LED chips for both color temperatures built into the FPCB board. By turning the warm white and cool white COB lights on or off, you can achieve three different shades of white light.

When you need to work, you can switch these white COB lights to 6500K to help focus your attention. And If you want to kick back and enjoy a movie, just turn to warm white 2700K or netural white 4000K to create perfect cozy ambiance for living spaces. You'll need a controller to set these color temperature changes. Of course, you can choose your preferred control method from our range of CCT controllers to work with your tunable white COB lighting.

SUPERLIGHTINGLED RGB COB LED Strips are dedicated to providing a wide range of options for LED lighting users, ranging from 5mm narrow COB RGB strips to ultra-high-density, bright COB RGB strips with 1,080 LEDs/m. Our COB RGB LED strip lights operate at 5V, 12V, and 24V DC, bringing vibrant colors to both indoor and outdoor lighting with a length of 5m 16.4ft and 10m 32.8ft.

RGB Cob LED tape light comes with four wires—typically red (red light), green (green light), blue (blue light), and black (positive)—and require connection to an RGB controller to change the strip’s colors and dynamic modes. RGBW COB LED strip, as the name suggests, refers to a COB LED light strip that not only has red, green and blue LEDs mounted on PCB, but also comes with additional white LEDs. This design allows rgb+w cob led strip to emit a more natural pure white light apart from colorful lights. Besides, white LEDs of COB RGBW LED strip can also add brightness to other colored lights, providing a more even and smooth glow. Addressable COB RGBW is an upgraded version of dynamic COB RGBW. Not only can it display a rich variety of static colors and dynamic modes, but it also allows you to program the color and brightness of each IC segment to achieve countless color combinations on a single strip. These two types of COB LED RGBW lights strips are not interchangeable; please select the one that best fits your project’s vision.

RGBCCT COB LED flex strip is a multi-functional LED COB tape light. It can emit thousands of colorful lights and give off pure white light, also known as rgbcw 2700K-6500K strip light. The color temperature is adjustable from 2700k warm white to 6500k daylight white, which is suitable for different scenarios.

SUPERLIGHTINGLED RGBCCT COB LED Strips come in two main types: 6-pin dynamic RGBCW COB and 3-pin/4-pin addressable RGBCW IC COB. The IC-controlled RGBCCT version takes dynamic color to the next level, as each IC’s COB LED area can display its own unique color and brightness, making it even smarter than the dynamic RGBCCT version. Since they use different control signals, please select the option that best suits your specific needs.

When using COB LED strips in damp, humid environments or areas with water splashes or drips, you must choose strips with an IP5X or IP6X rating to ensure water resistance. Which Water Resistance Rating Should You Choose for Your COB LED Strip?

Generally speaking, the higher the COB LED density, the greater the lumen output. The specific lumen output of a COB strip light depends on a combination of its LED density and other characteristics (such as PCB width and voltage). Our Super Bright COB Series operates on standard 12V and 24V DC power, making it widely adaptable to various power supply setups while delivering superior lighting performance.

Long linear COB LED light is suitable for long-distance lighting projects, available in COB LED strip 10m to 30m. Standard LED strips top out at 5 meters (16.4 feet) for a reason: voltage drop. Try to chain them together for a longer run and you'll see the light get progressively dimmer and yellower toward the end. The common fix involves running extra wires and injecting power every 5 meters, which is a hassle. SUPERLIGHTINGLED Long COB LED light strips solve this problem completely.

We designed these chip-on-board LED strips specifically for long, continuous runs of 10m (33ft), 20m (66ft), and even 30m (98ft) from a single power source, with no dimming and no extra wiring. Why COB Light Strips Operate Over Such Long Distances

The secret is using higher voltage and better engineering on the FCOB. Instead of the typical 12V, our long led lights run on 24V or, for the longest runs, 48V DC. This higher voltage pushes power more efficiently over long copper traces on the flexible PCB, slashing the effects of voltage drop. Some of our long COB models also use constant current ICs on the strip itself, which actively regulate the power to each LED, guaranteeing consistent brightness across the entire reel. Mini COB LED light strip features a compact design and can be easily inserted into slits and grooves. 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, and 6mm COB LED strip are available. Despite their small size, these slim COB LED strips have great performance, providing bright and dotless light. Multiple color options are available and there is even a waterproof version of thin COB LED strip. These narrow LED COB lights come with an adhesive backing, making them easy to fit into silicone neon diffuser and aluminium extrusion for accent lighting.

When is an Ultra-Slim COB Strip the right choice?

Standard COB LED strips are typically 8mm or 10mm wide. When you need to hide a light source in a space that offers millimeters of clearance, you need an ultra-slim or skinny light strip. That's where this category comes in. These Cob PCBs (the flexible circuit board) as narrow as 2mm, 2.7mm, 3mm, or 4mm — thin enough to slip into the tightest grooves in custom joinery, model-making projects, or intricate sign lettering where a standard light strip just won't fit. 

5V USB COB LED strip can be powered using the USB port with low voltage and high security. There are multiple colors options for you to choose from, including white and color changing. 5V COB LED strip light is powered by a 5V power supply, which reduces energy consumption and has a longer service life. These flexible light strips can be formed into different shapes. COB LED strip 5V is often used as car interior decorative lights to provide dazzling color effects.

When Should You Choose a 5V COB Strip Over 12V or 24V?

The main reason to pick a 5 volt COB LED strip is for convenience and portability. Unlike their 12V and 24V counterparts, which need dedicated power supplies, 5V cob strips run perfectly off common USB ports, phone chargers, and battery power banks. This makes them the absolute best choice for projects where you don't have a wall outlet nearby: think cosplay outfits, trade show displays, accent lighting in a car, or DIY projects powered by a simple battery pack. We see them used all the time for model-making, drone lighting, and portable signage.

The trade-off for this convenience is voltage drop. Because the voltage is lower, it doesn't push as far down the copper traces on the strip. This means a DC5V LED strip is best for shorter runs, typically under 2 meters (about 6.5 feet). Go much longer, and you'll see the light dim and potentially shift in color toward the end of the strip. For runs longer than that, a 12V or 24V cob strip is a better bet unless you're prepared to inject power every couple of meters. 

110V COB LED flexible strip lights have stable lighting effect, suitable for professional industrial lighting projects. High voltage 120V LED COB tape is able to give off intensive light without dots. Unlike low voltage LED COB tapes which have voltage drop problem, these high power COB LED lights can realize long distance lighting, with consistent color from end to end. These chip on board LED strips require professional COB LED installation and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

When should you choose a 120V COB strip over a 24V one?

The main reason is run length. A 120 volt LED strip can run up to 50 meters (164 feet) from a single power source with no brightness loss. That's its superpower. For long, unbroken lines of light—think architectural coving, landscape lighting, or outlining a building's perimeter—a 120V strip is simpler and more cost-effective. You don't need to buy and hide multiple bulky DC power supplies; the strip plugs directly into your mains power with a simple rectifier cord.
