What is HD108 digital addressable LED strip light?

HD108 digital RGB LED strip is the upgraded version of HD107s LED light strip, which integrates R/G/B IC, output 8 bit(256 level) lighting color set, 5bit(32 levels) brightness adjustment, 256 greyscale adjustments.

HD108 LED adopts CMOS process, positive or negative output 16 million color chasing lighting effect, DC5V low voltage input, low consumption, built-in constant current circuit, and RC oscillator; internal integrated current gain control module can also be REXT external resistor to adjust the required current, each output channel can output 16 (65536 level) gray adjustable linear current; using two-wire output, DATA data and synchronous CLK signal, suitable for LED bar lighting, KTV lighting.

Compared with APA102/SK9822 LED strip lights, with bigger beam angle, lower voltage drop, and higher bright output. The protocol of the HD108 LED strip is the same as the APA102 LED strip light.

Output two types of signals, data signal and clock signal;  PWM refresh rate up to 27kH; max transmission speed up to 40M bps, HD108 digital LED strip lights have the fastest transmission speed and refresh speed in all of the addressable LED strip lights

Note: All HD108 led strips must be used with 65536 high grayscale controller like H801SB (controller in the kit if you choose, select the APA102 ic chip for control) or H806SB

 

The difference between APA102, APA107, HD107s, HD108, and SK9822?

APA102: 20+ kHz PWM, transmission rate 20MHZ

APA107: 9 kHz PWM, transmission rate 30MHZ

HD107s: 26+ kHz PWM (the upgrade of APA107), transmission rate 40MHZ

HD108: 27+ kHz PWM, transmission rate 40MHZ (fastest IC)

SK9822: 4.7 kHz PWM, transmission rate 15MHZ

Which controller does this LED strip light need?
Addressable LED strip lights take a data signal, so they need an SPI (pixel) controller that supports this IC — an ordinary RGB controller will not drive them. Data flows one way: connect the controller to the input end marked with the arrow. Wiring addressable LED strip lights
Do I need power injection?
