Create professional-grade neon lighting for your 8mm LED light strips! Looking for flexible, durable, and uniformly bright LED strip lighting? These silicone tubes and covers are specifically designed for 8mm-wide PCB LED strips, enabling seamless neon light effects in various white light color temperatures, vibrant colors, and gradient hues. Whether installed in straight lines or complex curved shapes, our led strip tube and cover deliver perfect lighting!

Additionally, these led strip diffuser products feature waterproof and dustproof properties, enabling 8mm PCB width LEDs to operate reliably in harsh environments, providing a dependable solution for indoor and outdoor lighting.

Our neon tubes also have a unique advantage: they can expand 8mm light to 50mm 2inches, allowing the originally narrow light to spread evenly, creating a softer, wider light strip effect visually.

Frequently Asked Questions About 8mm Silicone Neon Diffusers

Got a question about getting that perfect neon look? I've answered thousands of these over the years. Here are the most common ones that come up for our 8mm diffusers.

A diffuser light, in this case, is the silicone tube that your 8mm LED strip slides into. Its main job is to take the harsh, distinct dots of light from individual LEDs and spread them out evenly. The milky silicone material scatters the light, turning a series of hotspots into a smooth, continuous line that looks just like traditional neon. It also protects the strip from dust and moisture.

This is the most common issue people run into. If you can still see hotspots, it's almost always because the LED density on your strip is too low. A strip with only 30 or 60 LEDs per meter just doesn't have enough light sources for the silicone to blend them completely. For a perfectly dotless look with an 8mm LED strip, you'll want a high-density tape, like one with 120 LEDs/m or a COB strip.

It's totally different tech for a similar look. A real neon light works by passing high voltage through a sealed glass tube filled with inert gas, causing the gas to glow. Our silicone diffusers create the neon effect by housing a low-voltage 8mm led strip light. This makes it safer, way more durable (it won't shatter), and much more energy-efficient than old-school neon.

They're a great look. The body of the diffuser is black, which provides a sleek, high-contrast decorative element during the day when the lights are off. The light-emitting surface, however, is still a translucent white material. So when you turn on your 8mm white led strip, the light shines through that surface just like a standard milky diffuser, creating a clean line of light against a black housing. Check out our range of black neon diffusers to see the effect.

Yes, the diffusers can easily cover a 120 ft run, but the 8mm LED strip lights inside will need to be powered correctly. You can't power a 120-foot run of low-voltage LED tape from a single driver; the voltage drop would be massive. You'll need to inject power roughly every 5 to 10 meters (16-32 feet), depending on if you use 12V or 24V strips. We can help you map out the power plan for a run that long.

Yes, we do this all the time. A huge part of our business is building custom-length assemblies that never even appear on the website. Just send us a sketch or a description of what you need — exact length, diffuser profile, which end the wire should exit, and the connector type. An engineer will send back a complete parts list, wiring diagram, and quote, usually within 12 hours. There's no fee for the consultation and no obligation to order.
