360 Degree LED Neon Flex

It's all about the direction of the light. A 360 degree led neon flex gives you a complete, all-around glow, perfect for pendants or where all sides are visible. The 270-degree version has a flat base for surface mounting, lighting up the top and sides. 180-degree is a classic half-moon profile, pushing all the light out one face. You pick based on where you're mounting it and what you want to see.

For suspended installations, you can't just rely on a couple of clips; the silicone will sag over time, especially on longer runs. We recommend using a suspension kit with aircraft cable that attaches to dedicated mounting points on the neon tube. For a perfectly rigid line, you can also mount the neon flex to a slim, straight aluminum profile and then suspend the profile. This is the professional method for achieving those clean, architectural lines.

A true 360 degree LED neon flex shouldn't have a dark spine. This issue usually comes from one of two things. First, some products are made with two LED strips placed back-to-back, and if they're not perfectly aligned, you can get a dim line. Second, it could be the density of the LEDs inside. Our high-density versions use tightly packed diodes to ensure the silicone diffuser is saturated with light from every angle, giving you that uniform, seamless glow.

The flexibility of a round LED neon tube depends on its diameter. The smaller the diameter, like our 15mm or 20mm models, the tighter the bend radius you can achieve. You can definitely create curves and large-format letters. However, these are designed to bend on one plane, like a rope. They don't twist or bend sideways. For very intricate sign-making, a side-bending or top-bending neon flex might be a better fit.

For a low-voltage 360 degree LED neon flex, voltage drop is always a factor. On a 24V system, you can typically run about 10 meters (around 32 feet) from a single power feed before you'll notice the far end looking dimmer. For longer runs, you either need to provide power from both ends or use a higher voltage product, like our 36V or AC mains voltage options. Don't try to push a 12V strip past 5 meters; the drop will be very noticeable.

The silicone on a round led neon tube is durable but needs gentle cleaning. Just use a soft, lint-free cloth dampened with a bit of water and maybe a drop of mild dish soap. Wipe it down, then go over it again with a clean, damp cloth to remove any soap residue. Never use harsh chemical cleaners, solvents, or abrasive pads. They can permanently cloud or degrade the silicone diffuser, which will ruin the light quality.

The right hardware for your led neon rope lights installation depends entirely on the surface and the look you want. For surface mounting on walls or ceilings, you'll use aluminum or plastic mounting clips screwed into the surface. For suspended applications, you need a suspension kit with steel cables. The braided nylon sheath is purely for aesthetics. It gives the neon tube a unique, fabric-like appearance when it's turned off, making it look more like a decorative rope than a plastic light fixture. When it's on, the light diffuses through the woven pattern, creating a softer, textured glow. It's a great choice for interior design projects where the fixture itself is a key visual element, like in hotels, restaurants, or high-end retail.

IP67 means the neon flex is protected against temporary immersion in water up to 1 meter deep. So yes, it's perfectly fine for permanent outdoor installation where it will be exposed to rain, snow, and sprinklers. The key is making sure the end caps and wire connections are also sealed to the same IP67 standard. A factory-sealed unit is always the safest bet. IP67 is not for underwater use, though—for that, you need IP68.
