Product Information

This SK6813 LED strip is just 6mm wide, pre-applied with 3M adhesive backing. Featuring a zigzag design, the narrow RGB addressable LED tape can be bent at a sharper angle, perfect for complex shapes, 3D signage, and lettering lighting. With a high density of 84 LED chips per meter, the strip’s length can be customized: every 3 LEDs is cuttable with scissors.

Each LED chip is embedded with an SK6813IC for fine control. This bendable zig zag LED strip is equipped with a BAK signal line, which can be transmitted continuously at breakpoints and is highly stable. SK6813 IC has a high refresh rate and usually operates at a voltage of 5V. In order to realize long-distance lighting, we use a 12V circuit board with external step-down circuits to ensure that the IC works under 5V voltage. Therefore, please use a 12V transformer for power supply.

Since this LED multi color changing tape light is an SMD version, light spots are unavoidable. If you prefer a spotless lighting effect, please consider using an aluminum channel or a neon tube to better disperse the light, or consider addressable COB light strips.

If select kit, you will receive SP530E LED controller and LRS-100-12 power supply with an AC plug. There is a slight voltage drop at the end of 5m/16.4ft when powered from one end.

Which controller does this LED strip light need?
Addressable LED strip lights take a data signal, so they need an SPI (pixel) controller that supports this IC — an ordinary RGB controller will not drive them. Data flows one way: connect the controller to the input end marked with the arrow. Wiring addressable LED strip lights
Do I need power injection?
5 V addressable LED strip lights lose voltage fastest, so longer runs need power fed in at both ends and at intervals along the run; 12 V and 24 V versions carry further. Keep the data line short between controller and first pixel. Choosing an addressable LED strip light
