How to Get LED Light Replacement Parts

If a section of your LED strip fails or a connection breaks, you don't always need to replace the entire run. We have the LED light replacement parts needed for common repairs.

  • For a failed connection: If the solder joint at the beginning of a strip has broken, you can cut off the first segment and use a solderless connector to create a new connection point. Our quick electrical wire splice connectors are perfect for repairing breaks in extension wires.
  • For a damaged power plug: We carry replacement high voltage AC plugs and low-voltage DC barrel connectors. You can cut off the faulty plug and wire the new one in its place, saving you from having to buy a whole new power supply.
  • For a dead section: If a 3-LED segment in the middle of a 12V strip has gone dark, you can cut it out at the designated cut marks and join the two healthy pieces back together with a strip-to-strip connector.

For more complex issues or frequent failures, the problem might be related to power. Our guide explains how to diagnose and prevent LED voltage drop, a common cause of dimming and premature failure in long runs.

Frequently Asked Questions About LED Strip Parts & Accessories

Got a question about getting your project wired up? I've probably answered it a thousand times. Here are the most common ones.

This is the most common point of failure, especially on wood, textured, or slightly oily surfaces. Don't rely on the tape alone. Screw-in mounting brackets are the only way to guarantee it never sags.

Once you cut a waterproof strip, the seal is broken. To fix it, you need to solder your lead wires on, then slide a piece of heat-shrink tubing over the joint and heat it until it seals tight. For the very end of the strip, you'll need a silicone end cap filled with silicone sealant.

They let you see and feel the hardware before you commit to a big order. The LED Neon Silicone Tube box has 177 different diffuser profiles so you can see how they shape the light. The LED Aluminum Channel sample boxes give you 4-inch cuts of our profiles to check fit, finish, and how they mount. It's the best way to make sure what you order is exactly what you need for the job site.

A professional install means no visible components. That's what our weatherproof electrical junction boxes are for. Even indoors, they're the perfect way to safely contain the LED driver, terminal blocks, and any excess wire. It keeps everything protected from dust, moisture, and accidental damage, and just looks a hundred times cleaner.

Yes, absolutely. Our soldering service is for anyone who wants a guaranteed, professional connection without the hassle. Just tell us the strip length and the wire lead length you need for each piece. A huge portion of what we ship is custom-built from a customer's drawing. Send us a sketch—even on a napkin—and an engineer will send back a full parts list and quote, usually within 12 hours. No fee, no obligation.

It's basically a chemical that makes double-sided tape stick to silicone. Standard 3M VHB tape doesn't bond well to the silicone sleeves on waterproof LED strips. You brush our silicone surface primer onto the back of the strip first, let it dry for a minute, and then the adhesive tape will form a much stronger, more permanent bond. It's a must-have for mounting IP67 strips.
