RGB stands for Red, Green, and Blue. An RGB LED light uses these three base colors to mix and create millions of different hues. When we put them inside a neon rope, the LEDs are encased in a flexible silicone diffuser. This housing smooths out the individual points of light, so you get one continuous, dot-free line of color—just like classic glass neon, but far more durable and efficient.
An RGB LED neon light is great for rich, saturated colors. But its 'white' is made by mixing red, green, and blue, which can look a little bluish. An RGBW LED strip light adds a separate, dedicated white LED chip for a much cleaner, purer white light. RGBCCT goes one step further, giving you a dedicated white chip that's also CCT tunable from warm to cool white, offering the most color control.
For our standard DC24V RGB LED neon lights, you can reliably run about 10 meters (32.8 feet) from a single power feed. If you push past that, you'll see voltage drop. For longer uninterrupted runs, you should use our high voltage AC neon lights. They can go up to 50 meters (164 feet) from a single plug, which is ideal for large architectural outlines.
Yes, all our DC voltage RGB LED neon rope lights have clearly marked cut points, usually every 50mm or 100mm. You just slice through the line with a sharp utility knife. The most important part is properly resealing the end with a silicone end cap and a dab of sealant to maintain its waterproof rating. Don't just wrap it in tape, or moisture will find its way in.
Yes, you can't just connect it straight to a power supply. You'll need an RGB, RGBW, or RGBCCT controller that matches the type of neon flex you bought. The controller is what translates your commands from a remote, wall panel, or app, telling the individual color channels how bright to be.
The neon rope itself is typically IP67 rated. The weak points are always the connections and the end caps. When you cut a section, you must inject silicone sealant into the end cap before you push it on. For connecting two pieces or connecting to power, use our dedicated IP67 or IP68 waterproof connectors with heat shrink tubing over the joint. This is the single step most people skip, and it's why their outdoor projects fail after the first heavy rain.

The main reason is the smooth, dot-free light. A regular RGB LED strip has visible hotspots, which can create ugly reflections on shiny surfaces like countertops or floors. An RGB neon rope's thick silicone jacket diffuses those dots into one continuous line of light.
