UCS2904 (UCS2904B) is an intelligent control IC chip to drive 5050 4-in-1 RGBW LEDs, widely used in LED strip lights and LED modular lights. Compared with the same single-signal SK6812, TM1814 and TM1824 RGBWIC chips, the UCS2904 IC has a higher PWM frequency and refresh rate, and excels in color change response speed. UCS2904 RGBW LED strip's high performance color response and smooth transition of light effect make it especially suitable for scenes with high requirements for dynamic color changes, such as animated LED displays, high-end LED decorative lighting, LED stage lighting control systems and so on. In addition, UCS2904 supports 12V and 24V inputs, which is very friendly for dream color lighting applications over 5 meters (16.4 feet). UCS2904 LED strips are universally compatible with most addressable RGBW controllers and platforms like WLED, Arduino, FastLED, etc., providing broad system compatibility for your LED project.

The UCS2904 IC is the real advantage here. While both drive RGBW LEDs, the UCS2904 has a much higher PWM frequency. If you try to run longer than that, the LEDs at the far end will start to look dim or shift color. For runs over 10 meters, you'll need to inject power at both ends or use a heavier gauge wire.
