Just remember that the data line from a 3.3V controller like a Pi or ESP32 might need a logic level shifter to reliably control the 5V strip, especially on longer data runs.

If you need RGBW (RGB + a separate White channel), you must choose an SK6812, as the WS2812B doesn't have that option.
