The newest SK6812 addressabke RGBW LED strip integrates built-in SK6812 driver IC packaged in 5050 components, supports DC12V low voltage input, individually addressable, each LED can be cut, and the length of the LED strip can be customized.
High-quality IC with intelligent reverse connection protection. The IC contains intelligent digital interface, data latch signal shaping, amplifying drive circuit, power supply voltage regulator circuit, built-in constant current circuit, high-precision internal oscillator and high-voltage programmable constant current control part .
The programmable LED strip light with 8-pin IC (VCC/GND/DIN/DO/OUTR/OUTG/OUTB/OUTW) accepts DIN data and can mix RGB to produce 16 million colors or produce a single R/G/B/W color, which can match Dream Color LED controller And Raspberrypi/Arduino UNO development board can realize precise single color control.
The waterproof level (IP20/65/67/68 is optional), the length and PCB color of the addressable LED light strip can be customized to meet the needs of home lighting and industrial lighting.
SK6812-RGBW-60IA-12V is cheaper than this product SK6812-RGBW-54IA-12V, and the LED density is denser for 60LEDs/m, it is more recommended to use SK6812-RGBW-60IA-12V, more cost-effective.

How to connect and control
Similar to WS2812B LED strip, the SK2812 led strip has 3 wires for sending data - one V+ pin, one GND pin, and one data pin. That means you need 3 pins to control strip. Because the data is separated, you can use any processor speed or type to control these strips. an addressable RGB LED strip is a long flexible strand of LEDs each of which can be individually set to a certain color (hence: addressable). By varying the level of red, green and blue (RGB) per LED many color combinations can be made you can use any processor speed or type to control these strips, you can use any microcontroller or microprocessor, including Arduino, Raspberry Pi, BeagleBone, Propeller, SparkCore, and any 'raw' microcontrollers/microprocessors to control the strip.
This strip comes as a single full meter with a 3-pin JST SM connector on each end. Every LEDs segment can be cut. Solder to the 0.1" copper pads and you're good to go.you can also connect strips together to make them longer. To power this strip, you need a 12V power supply.

Waterproof Level Description
IP20 Non-waterproof (The PCB [Printed Circuit Board] surface of the bare, with a self-adhesive back, For Indoor);
IP65 Waterproof (Epoxy cover waterproof, Epoxy Resin, PCB surface is encapsulated with plastic Gel, with self-adhesive 3M back, For Outdoor & Indoor);
IP67 Waterproof (Silicon sleeve waterproof, PCB is encapsulated with silicon tube, with a plastic fastener, better waterproof, For Outdoor);
IP68 Waterproof (Fully waterproof plastic irrigation, PCB both surface and back are encapsulated with plastic Gel, with a plastic fastener, the top level of waterproof, For Outdoor);
The waterproof grade of IP65, IP67, and IP68 will affect the color temperature due to the material problem, resulting in an increase of about 1000K. If you want to purchase the waterproof LED strips and have requirements on the color temperature, please note when placing the order.
