Product Advantages:

1.12V WS2815 LED Chip (Line Sequence RGB). WS2815 LED strip is upgraded version of 5V WS2812B LED strip. For 5M LED strip, even if all the LEDs are turned on full white, 12V version has no voltage drop. You don't need to inject power as frequently as 5V version.

2. Dual-signal wires version, signal break-point continuous transmission. If one led is damaged, it will not affect the other LEDs working.

3. With 4-pins male connector and separated power/ground wire at both ends for easy interconnection and power connection.

4. Waterproof IP67: the ribbon light is covered with silicone protective sleeve, which can protect it well and makes it easy to clean.

5. Individually addressable: Every 1 IC control 1 LEDs, every LED can be individually addressable and show any color you want. The strip can be cut off between every one LED without damaging the rest strip if you want it to shorten or lengthen, also can be re-connect by provided connectors.

6. The digital LED WS2815 fully color integrates all electronic components into a single 5050 luminaire, without the need for any other peripheral electronic components to assist in forming a complete internal control pixel.in the meanwhile, the WS2815 LED strip reduces resistance caused by inverting the product during installation.

7. Wide compatibility. Works great with LED screnn, LED wall, advertising board, and widely apply for KTV, hotel, bars, clubs, wedding party lighting, etc.

8. Easy installation: Self-adhesive tape on back FOR IP20/IP65, it can be fixed on any dry and flat surface without any screws and clips. Incredible reliability with the dual-signal backup feature

I have switched almost all of my architectural projects to the WS2815 chipset, and this strip is a perfect example of why. The dual-signal line is a massive advantage; having that redundant data path means a single dead pixel won't kill the entire run, which saves me countless hours in potential maintenance. Even though it is a 12V system, the power management is very efficient. I noticed minimal voltage drop over the 5-meter length compared to older 5V addressable strips. The LED density provides a very smooth chasing effect, and the build quality of the PCB feels rugged enough for permanent installs. If you are doing professional work where failure is not an option, this is the addressable strip you want.

Next to a normal 2811 strip these 2815 LEDs not only match but are bright and clear. The reason I bought these was to see the look of 144 LEDs per meter. I usually use 60 per meter and these look every bit as cool as I would expect. Power consumption on these is great considering and the customer service has been phenomenal.

I have had no issues with the WS2815 light strips. These come with a silicon rectangular tube to achieve the weather proofing. I mounted this within an aluminum housing using the stick on clips which worked very nicely as the weather proofing material (silicon) is very difficult to find an adhesive that will stick. These have worked fine with no issues, I chose these because they have dual data paths so are bit more fault tolerant than some others. These worked just fine at -13F with no issues.

Which controller does this LED strip light need?

Addressable LED strip lights take a data signal, so they need an SPI (pixel) controller that supports this IC — an ordinary RGB controller will not drive them. Data flows one way: connect the controller to the input end marked with the arrow. Wiring addressable LED strip lights

Do I need power injection?
