Waterproof IP68 Connector Series

52 products

IP67 & IP68 Waterproof LED Connectors are specially designed for various low voltage landscape lighting applications in outdoor LED lighting industry and outdoor led strip lights applications. These 2 pin, 3 pin, 4 pin, 5 pin male female outdoor electrical fast connectors offer excellent waterproof and weatherprof properties (rated IP68), thereby ensuring optimal performance even in challenging outdoor conditions.

Which LED outdoor lighting scenarios are waterproof connectors suitable for?

Waterproof low voltage wire connectors are ideally suited for LED strip lights, led underwater lights, led wash wall lights, led street lighting, led display screens, led building lighting lamps and lanterns, widely used in car and ship manufacturing, communications equipment, detection equipment, as well as with LED driver power supplies.

Explore the waterproof LED strip connector series at Superlightingled for a reliable, robust, and practical solution for your LED connection needs while maintaining top-notch waterproof protection. With these exterior cable connectors, extending light distances and connecting lights in multiple directions outdoors becomes easy and safe.

Due to the unique molding dimensions of each manufacturer, our LED connector waterproof is only compatible with our products. Even if the shapes appear identical, a deviation of more than 0.2mm can make connection difficult. Therefore, please purchase our outdoor waterproof connector with compatible models.

Frequently Asked Questions About Waterproof IP68 Connectors

Got a question about wiring your outdoor or submersible lighting? I've been answering these for 12 years. Here are the most common things people ask before they buy.

Match the number of pins to the number of copper pads on your LED strip. It's pretty straightforward: 2-pin for single color, 3-pin for tunable white (CCT) or some addressable strips, 4-pin for RGB, 5-pin for RGBW, and 6-pin for RGB+CCT. Choosing the wrong pin count is a common mistake.

Yes, that's exactly what they're designed for. Our strip-to-strip and strip-to-wire piercing connectors let you rejoin cut segments of waterproof LED strip lights without any soldering. This maintains the weatherproofing along the entire run, which is critical for outdoor installations. Just be sure to check the PCB width (e.g., 10mm or 12mm) to get the right size.

Most of the time, the problem is an incomplete connection inside the housing. You have to make sure the metal pins inside the connector have fully pierced the flexible PCB of the LED strip. Also, check that you've aligned the polarity correctly (+ to +). Our guide to choosing connectors has some visuals on this.

Absolutely. A huge part of our business is building cables and harnesses to customer specs. Just send us a sketch or description—even a photo of a napkin drawing works. Tell us the connector pin-count, the wire gauge you need, and the exact length from end to end. An engineer will send back a wiring layout and a quote, usually within 12 hours. There's no fee for the consultation and no obligation to order.

We stock standard lengths up to 10 meters (about 33 feet), like our extra long 2-pin extension. But the real limit is voltage drop, not the cable itself. On a 12V system, you'll see a noticeable dimming after about 5-7 meters. On a 24V system, you can go much further, maybe 10-15 meters, depending on the load. If you need a very long run, we can build you a custom extension with thicker gauge wire to minimize the drop.

Yes, but you have to get the right connector. Because COB strips have a smooth, continuous line instead of individual SMD chips, the piercing mechanism needs to be designed for them. We have specific COB waterproof connectors that are built to make a secure connection without damaging the strip. Don't try to use a standard SMD connector on a COB strip; it likely won't work well.
