The 5730 chip (5.7mm x 3.0mm) has a slightly larger luminous area and heat dissipation base than the 5630 (5.6mm x 3.0mm), which generally allows it to be driven for higher brightness and better stability. For new projects, we specify 5730 as it's the current standard for this high-power class.

You'll need to calculate the total wattage. Check the product page for the strip's wattage per meter (or foot). Multiply that by the total length of your run, then add a 20% buffer for safety and efficiency. For example, a 5-meter strip at 20W/meter is 100W total. You'd need at least a 120W driver.
