940 nanometers is an invisible wavelength, located in the realm of near-infrared light, so 940nm red light is invisible to the naked eye. Compared to 850nm infrared LEDs, 940nm IR LEDs produce almost no visible red light (red bursts). This characteristic makes 940nm IR led strip very suitable in scenarios where covert lighting is required. For example, in security surveillance, the use of IR 940nm led strip can avoid attracting attention while providing sufficient illumination for surveillance cameras. The black PCB can better hide the strip, making it more invisible after installation.

The 12V voltage is safe for 940nm light source and is suitable for use in IR infra-red applications in both home and commercial environments, with lower power consumption for long time running. Choose a 12-volt led power supply here.

How to check if the 940nm invisible infrared light is working properly?

Professional infrared detection equipment and most cell phone cameras have light-sensitive elements (such as CMOS or CCD) that are sensitive to infrared light. Although the human eye cannot see 940nm light, cell phone cameras can capture this light.

Aim your cell phone camera at the 940nm LED light. If the LED light is working properly, you may see a purple or white bright spot.

Different cell phone camera sensors may have different sensitivities to infrared light. Some cell phones may display it better, while others may be less visible.
