Product Information

Experience exceptionally smooth and vibrant color with the SuperLightingLED High Density 3535 RGB LED Strip. Engineered with an impressive 168 LEDs per meter on a narrow 10mm PCB, this RGB strip is designed to produce a seamless, continuous line of light, virtually eliminating the hotspots and dark spots common with lower-density strips. Its ultra-low profile of just 1.8mm makes it a superior choice for custom neon-effect lighting fixtures. Available in both DC 12V and 24V, this high density rgb led strip offers project flexibility while ensuring consistent brightness and color fidelity across the entire 5-meter length, making it ideal for professional architectural, commercial, and high-end residential installations. Choose between IP20 for indoor dry locations and IP67 silicone-encased for outdoor and damp environments.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What makes this high density 3535 RGB LED strip 'dotless'?

A: With 168 LEDs packed into each meter, the light sources are so close together that when used with a frosted cover or aluminum channel diffuser, the light blends into a smooth, continuous line without visible dots or hotspots.

Q: Can I cut this LED strip to a custom length?

A: Yes. The 12V version can be cut every 3 LEDs (approx. 17.8mm), and the 24V version can be cut every 6 LEDs (approx. 35.7mm). Always cut only on the marked copper pads.

Q: What power supply do I need for a full 5-meter reel?

A: A full 5-meter reel will consume 70 Watts (5m x 14W/m). We recommend a power supply with at least 20% headroom, so a 90W or 100W power supply would be ideal.

Q: How do I control the color and brightness?

A: You will need a standard RGB LED controller. Connect the 4 pins of the strip (+, R, G, B) to the controller's output, and the controller to your power supply. This allows you to change colors, dim, and select dynamic modes.

Q: What's the difference between the 12V and 24V versions?

A: The 24V version is more efficient for longer runs as it suffers less from voltage drop, ensuring more consistent brightness from start to finish. The 12V version has a shorter cut interval, offering more precision for smaller projects.

Q: How long can I run this strip in a single continuous length?

A: We recommend a maximum continuous run of 5 meters (1 reel) to prevent voltage drop, which can cause colors to shift and brightness to dim at the far end of the strip. For longer installations, power should be injected from both ends or every 5 meters.

Q: Can I use the IP67 version underwater in a pool?

A: No. The IP67 rating makes it water-resistant and suitable for outdoor use, splashes, and rain. It is not designed to be fully and continuously submerged. For submersible applications, you would need an IP68-rated strip.

LED Strip Light Guide

Common questions about this type of product, answered against this model’s own options. For full figures see the specification above or the spec sheet for this model.

What voltage does this LED strip light run on?
This model is offered in DC24V · DC12V. Lower voltage means a shorter run per feed: at 12 V feed power roughly every 5 m, at 24 V roughly every 10 m. Longer runs get power injected at both ends. Connecting to the power supply
Which controller does it need?
Colour-changing LED strip lights need a controller with one output per colour channel — for this model that is a 4-pin RGB controller at the same voltage. Choosing a controller
Which waterproof rating should I choose?
Available on this model: Outdoor Silicone Tube IP67 - Adhesive Back · Outdoor Silicone Tube IP67 - With Brackets · Non-Waterproof IP20 - Adhesive Back. IP20 is for dry indoor use, IP65 handles splashes, IP67 suits outdoor and wet areas, IP68 is for continuous submersion. Choosing a waterproof rating
Can I cut it to length?
Yes. Cut only on the marked cut lines between the copper pads — the cut interval for this model is on its spec sheet. Rejoin with solder or a solderless connector. Cutting LED strip lights · we can also cut to length and fit your connector before shipping: custom LED strip light assembly.
What size power supply do I need?
Take the watts per metre from the specification above, multiply by the length you are running, then add about 25% headroom. Power calculation guide · Choosing a power supply
Will it fit an aluminium profile, and how dense are the LEDs?
LED density 168LEDs/m. Choose a profile whose inner width is at least the PCB width; denser LEDs give a smoother line close to a diffuser. LED aluminium profiles
