How to Install & Use This LED Strip
- 1. Surface Preparation: Clean the mounting surface thoroughly to ensure it is dry and free of dust, oils, or waxes for optimal adhesion.
- 2. Cut to Size (If Needed): Measure the required length and carefully cut the strip along the designated copper cut marks.
- 3. Connection: If you cut the strip, you will need to solder wires or use 2-pin connectors to connect the segments to your power source. Ensure you match the polarity (+ and -).
- 4. Power Up: Connect the strip to an appropriate 12V or 24V DC power supply. To control brightness, wire a compatible single color dimmer between the power supply and the strip.
- 5. Mounting: Peel the protective backing off the adhesive tape and press the strip firmly onto the prepared surface.
- Always use a power supply with a wattage rating at least 20% higher than the strip's total power consumption to avoid overloading.
- The 24V version is recommended for longer continuous runs to minimize voltage drop.
