How to Use This 3-Pin Solderless Connector
- First, ensure your power is disconnected. Confirm your LED strip is 10mm wide and has 3 copper contact pads.
- Gently pry open the white hinged buckle on the connector.
- Carefully slide the end of the LED strip into the connector, ensuring it goes underneath the small metal contact pins.
- Align the copper pads on the strip directly with the pins inside the connector. Correct alignment is crucial for a good connection.
- Firmly snap the white buckle closed until it clicks into place. This action presses the pins through the contacts.
- Give the wire and strip a gentle tug to ensure the connection is secure.
- Connect the bare wire ends to the appropriate terminals on your 3-pin controller or power wiring, matching V+, Data/CCT, and Ground correctly.
- This connector is designed for non-waterproof (IP20) LED strips. If using with a silicone-coated strip, you must carefully scrape the coating off the copper pads first.
- Double-check the pinout of your strip and controller (e.g., V+, Data, GND) and ensure the wires are connected in the correct order.
- Not recommended for high-current applications exceeding 5A. For high-density or very long strips, a soldered connection is more robust.
