- Plan your layout, measuring the required length and confirming your choice of voltage (DC12V or DC24V).
- Mount the string securely. The 3cm base can be screwed onto a surface for fixed installation.
- Connect the input wires to a correctly sized UL certified power transformer or waterproof driver. The power supply's wattage should be at least 20% higher than the string's total load (e.g., a 35W+ power supply for one 29W string).
- For brightness control, install a compatible single color dimmer between the power supply and the light string.
- Test the connection to ensure all 40 globes are functioning correctly before finalizing the installation.
- Ensure the output voltage of your power supply exactly matches the voltage of your string lights (12V or 24V). Mismatching voltage will damage the LEDs.
- The total power of the connected strings should not exceed 80% of the power supply's capacity.
- All connections must be properly sealed to maintain the IP67 waterproof integrity for outdoor applications.

Q: Can I connect multiple strings together end-to-end?
A:For consistent brightness and safety, we recommend powering each 17ft string individually or in parallel from an appropriately sized power supply. Connecting long runs in series can cause voltage drop.
Q: Are these string lights dimmable?
A:Yes, they are fully dimmable from 0-100% when connected to a compatible low-voltage DC PWM dimmer.
Q: How durable are they for permanent outdoor installation?
