Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What kind of lights can I control with the EBOX-TD?
A:You can control most line-voltage (100-240Vac) dimmable lights, including incandescent bulbs, halogens, and TRIAC-dimmable LED lamps.
Q: Do I need a special remote for this wireless module?
A:Yes, the EBOX-TD operates on the RF 2.4GHz frequency and is designed to work with compatible Ltech wireless remotes and wall panels. It is not a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth device.
Q: Can I use this to create a wireless three-way switch?
A:Absolutely. You can pair multiple wireless remotes or wall panels to a single EBOX-TD module, allowing you to control the same light from different locations without any extra traveler wires.
Q: Is this a standalone dimmer?
A:No, the EBOX-TD is a wireless receiver module. It requires a compatible Ltech RF transmitter (remote or panel) to send it commands to dim the connected AC light.
Q: Where should this module be installed?
A:Its compact size is designed to fit inside many standard electrical junction boxes, in a ceiling void, or another concealed location near the light fixture it will control.
Q: What is the difference between this and a Bluetooth dimmer module?
A:This EBOX-TD uses RF 2.4GHz, which is a dedicated radio frequency ideal for reliable, long-range lighting control. Bluetooth is typically for shorter-range, direct-from-phone control and operates in a more crowded frequency band.
