This means you get vibrant, saturated colors *and* a pure, high-quality white light you can tune to any temperature in between. It's the difference between a novelty light and a professional lighting tool.

For that job, RGB+CCT LED strip lights are the definitive choice. You get the full color spectrum from the RGB chips for accent and mood lighting, plus the ability to produce a clean, high-CRI white light that's perfect for tasks. In places like kitchens, retail displays, or art studios where you need to see colors accurately, the tunable white channel is non-negotiable. These are the best LED lights when you can't compromise on either color or function.

It's all about fighting voltage drop. A 24V LED strip lets you run roughly double the length of a 12V strip from a single power feed before the lights at the far end start to look dim or shift color. For a typical strip, that means you can go about 10 meters (32.8 ft) on a 24V system versus just 5 meters (16.4 ft) on 12V. Using a 24V LED strip also means less current for the same power, which can let you use slightly smaller wiring. If you have even longer runs, we also stock 48V LED strips.

You can't power 50 ft of 24V LED strip lights from just one end—the voltage drop would be too severe by the end of the run. No, that won't work correctly. An RGB+CCT strip needs six conductors: one for red, green, blue, warm white, cool white, and a common positive (V+). An RGBW controller only has five outputs. You'd be leaving one of the white channels completely disconnected and wouldn't be able to tune your white color temperature. You have to use a controller specifically designed for RGB+CCT, which will have all six terminals.

First, always mount the strip in an aluminum channel, not directly onto a wood or plaster surface. The channel acts as a heat sink and dramatically extends the LED's lifespan. Second, clean the mounting surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol before sticking the strip down. Third, avoid sharp 90-degree bends; use solderless connectors or a gentle curve instead. It depends on the IP rating you choose. An IP20 strip is bare and only for dry indoor locations. For a bathroom ceiling or splashback, you need at least an IP65-rated strip, which has a silicone coating to protect against splashes. For direct exposure to rain or inside a shower, you need to step up to an IP67 (in a silicone tube) or IP68 (fully potted) strip.
