Correct, you absolutely must install the LED driver (power supply) outside the sauna or steam room. Drivers are not designed for that kind of heat and moisture. Typically, you'll place it in an adjacent room, ceiling void, or a utility closet. Then, you run the low-voltage DC cable through a small, sealed hole into the sauna to connect to your led sauna light.

That's the classic voltage drop question. With our 24V sauna LED lights, you can typically run up to 10 meters (about 32 feet) on a single power feed with no noticeable dimming. Most of our sauna light strips have clearly marked cut points, usually every 50mm or 100mm. The critical thing to remember is that cutting a waterproof strip breaks its seal. You must use LED strip silicone end caps or neon silicone end caps and a high-temperature, waterproof sealant to make it safe again. If you're not comfortable doing that, we can build them to your exact length in the factory.

Both offer excellent protection for a sauna light. IP67 means the fixture is protected against temporary immersion in water. IP68 means it's rated for continuous, long-term immersion. For a sauna or steam room, where you have intense humidity but not a swimming pool, IP67 is perfectly sufficient.
