Application Scenarios
How to Use This Connector
- Ensure the power to your LED strip is completely turned off.
- Use scissors to cut your LED strip light cleanly along the designated copper cut lines.
- Gently open the hinged plastic clasp on both sides of the Hippo Buckle connector.
- Carefully slide the end of one LED strip segment under the metal contact prongs inside the connector. Ensure the copper pads on the strip are directly under the prongs.
- Check that the polarity markings (+ and -) on the strip align with the corresponding side of the connector.
- Press the plastic clasp down firmly until you hear it click shut, securing the strip in place.
- Repeat the process for the second LED strip segment on the other side of the connector.
- Place the connected strips into your aluminum channel and test the connection before installing the diffuser.
- This connector is designed for use with non-waterproof (IP20/IP33) LED strips only.
- Always double-check that the polarity (+ to +) is correctly aligned before closing the clasps to avoid damaging your LEDs.
- This is a low-voltage DC connector. Do not use with high-voltage AC strips.
- Designed for a secure, semi-permanent connection. Avoid repeatedly opening and closing the clasps as this may reduce their grip strength.
