Installation and Operation Guide
- Safety First: Before beginning installation, disconnect power to the circuit at the fuse box or circuit breaker.
- Wiring: Connect the AC line (Live) and Neutral wires to the dimmer's input terminals. Connect the output terminals to your dimmable light fixture or LED driver, following the wiring diagram in the user manual.
- Mode Selection: Ensure the dimmer is set to the correct mode (Triac or ELV) to match the requirements of your lighting load. This information is typically found on the specification sheet of your LED driver or fixture.
- Mounting: Carefully fit the dimmer into a standard 86-type electrical wall box and secure it with the provided screws.
- Operation: Restore power at the circuit breaker. Rotate the knob clockwise to turn on and increase brightness, and counter-clockwise to dim and turn off. Test the full dimming range to ensure smooth operation.
- This dimmer must be used with light fixtures or drivers that are specifically marked as 'TRIAC Dimmable' or 'ELV Dimmable'.
- Never exceed the maximum specified load capacity (200W for Triac inductive loads, 300W for ELV).
- Ensure all electrical connections are secure to prevent malfunction or fire hazards.
- Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local electrical codes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the difference between the E6-TD1 and the E6P-TD1?
A:The E6P-TD1 is the new, updated version of the E6-TD1. We ship the E6P-TD1 by default, which provides the same functionality and high-quality performance.
Q: How do I know whether to use Triac or ELV mode?
A:Check the specifications for your LED driver or fixture. Triac (leading-edge) is for older inductive loads, while ELV (trailing-edge) is generally better for modern electronic loads and often provides smoother dimming for LEDs. If your driver specifies trailing-edge, use ELV mode.
Q: Can I use this with any LED bulb?
A:No. This dimmer switch is only compatible with LED bulbs and fixtures that are explicitly labeled as 'dimmable'. Using it with non-dimmable lights will not work and may damage the light or the dimmer.
Q: Is this a smart dimmer? Can I control it with Alexa or Google Home?
A:No, this is a manual rotary dimmer switch. It is designed for direct, physical control via the knob and does not have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or smart home capabilities.
Q: What type of wall box is required for installation?
A:This dimmer is designed to fit into a standard 86x86mm square wall box, which is common in Europe and Asia.
Q: What is a Triac dimmer?
A:A TRIAC dimmer is a type of phase-cut dimmer that works by cutting off a portion of the AC waveform to reduce the power sent to the light, thus dimming it. It's a common technology for controlling incandescent and compatible dimmable LED lights.
