Application Scenarios
How to Install & Use This Hand Sweep Sensor
- Choose a mounting location for the sensor head, such as the underside of a cabinet, ensuring the detection area is clear.
- Securely mount the sensor in place using appropriate hardware (not included).
- De-energize your power source. Connect the output from your DC power supply to the INPUT terminals of the controller, ensuring correct polarity (+ to +, - to -).
- Connect your single color LED strip lights to the OUTPUT terminals of the controller, again matching polarity.
- Double-check all connections are secure, then restore power to the system.
- Test the functionality by waving your hand within 10cm of the sensor. The light should fade on. A second wave will cause it to fade off.
- CRITICAL: Before installation, consult the EB(C) datasheet in the Downloads section to confirm the controller's specific input voltage and maximum load (Amps/Watts).
- Ensure your power supply voltage and the total load of your LED strips do not exceed the controller's specifications to prevent damage.
- This is a low-voltage DC device. Never connect it directly to high-voltage AC mains power.
- The sensor may be affected by strong ambient IR sources or direct sunlight. Install away from such interference for best performance.

Q: What is the difference between this hand sweep sensor and a PIR motion sensor?
A:This hand sweep sensor requires a deliberate gesture within 10cm to activate. A PIR sensor detects body heat and movement from a much larger distance, turning on automatically when someone enters the area.
Q: How do I turn the light on and off?
A:Simply wave your hand once under the sensor to gradually turn the light on. Wave your hand a second time to gradually turn it off. It functions as a toggle switch.
Q: Can I adjust the dimming speed?
A:The gradual on/off dimming speed is a pre-set feature of the controller and is not user-adjustable.
Q: Will this work with RGB or tunable white LED strips?
A:This is a single-channel controller designed specifically for single color LED strip lights. It cannot be used to control multi-color or CCT strips.
Q: What voltage power supply do I need?
A:The specific voltage (e.g., DC 12V or 24V) and maximum current ratings are detailed in the product datasheet, available for download on this page. Always match your power supply and LED load to the controller's specifications.
Q: Is the sensor head waterproof?
