Application Scenarios
How to Wire & Install This DMX Driver
- Safety First: Ensure all power is disconnected before installation. This work should be performed by a qualified electrician.
- Verify Load: Confirm your LED lights require 24V DC. Calculate the total wattage of your lights and ensure it does not exceed the driver's 100W rating (80W recommended).
- AC Input Wiring: Connect the 200-240Vac mains power to the driver's Line (L) and Neutral (N) input terminals.
- DC Output Wiring: Connect the driver's positive (+) and negative (-) output terminals to your 24V LED strip lights, carefully observing the correct polarity.
- DMX/RDM Control Wiring: For DMX control, connect the signal wires from your DMX master controller to the DMX input terminals on the driver.
- Push DIM Control Wiring: For manual dimming, connect a normally open, non-latching momentary push-button switch across the two Push DIM terminals.
- Final Check & Power Up: Double-check all connections. Once secure, restore power and test the dimming functionality using your chosen control method.
- 80% Load Rule: For optimal performance and driver longevity, it is best practice not to exceed 80% of the rated capacity (80W maximum load).
- Control Priority: The driver automatically prioritizes the DMX/RDM signal. The Push DIM function will only be active when no DMX signal is detected.
- Ventilation: Install the driver in a location with adequate airflow to allow for proper heat dissipation. Do not cover.
- Indoor Use Only: This driver is designed for indoor, dry locations and is not waterproof.
- Fixture Compatibility: This is a constant voltage driver, ideal for most common LED strips. If you plan to control constant current fixtures like an LED wall washer, please contact us to ensure compatibility.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I use this as a replacement for my old, non-DMX LED driver?
A:Yes, as long as your lights require 24V DC and the total power is 100W or less. You can use the Push DIM feature for simple on/off and dimming control without a DMX system.
Q: What is the benefit of RDM support?
A:RDM (Remote Device Management) allows two-way communication, enabling a compatible DMX controller to auto-discover the driver, set its DMX address remotely, and monitor its status, which greatly simplifies setup.
Q: Is this driver flicker-free for video?
A:Yes, its high-frequency PWM output (≤3600Hz) is designed to be flicker-free, making it suitable for environments where video recording or photography takes place.
Q: Does this unit require a separate 24V power supply?
A:No, this is an all-in-one unit. It functions as both a power supply (converting 200-240Vac to 24Vdc) and a DMX driver.
Q: What happens if I accidentally short-circuit the output?
A:The driver's built-in short circuit protection will automatically shut down the output to prevent damage. It will recover automatically once the fault is cleared.
Q: Can I use this for 12V LED strips?
A:No, this is a 24V constant voltage driver and must be used with 24V LED lighting. Using it with 12V strips will destroy them.
Q: What kind of switch is needed for Push DIM?
A:You need a normally-open (N.O.) momentary push-button switch (non-latching). A short press turns the light on/off, and a long press dims up or down.
