Breakthrough Innovation: CS8812 12V Independent Addressable RGBW LED Strip Solution

Industry Pain Points and Technological Breakthroughs

Currently, most well-known digital RGBW LED strips use externally mounted ICs such as UCS2904, TM1814/TM1824/TM1834, SM16704, WS2814, which need to control multiple LEDs per IC chip. Even with built-in ICs, the voltage is mostly around 5 volts, e.g. SK6812/WS2813 5V RGBW strips, with limited operating distance. 

Although the SK6812 12V RGBW light strip is individually addressable, it only has one wire to transmit data, for engineering projects, this single wire data transmission method may not be stable enough. Our wide-voltage led strip pixel lights can also realize RGBW LED individually addressable, but its SPI control signal is special and not widely compatible with all control systems. 

In order to address these needs, we have launched the CS8812 RGBW series after the WS2815 RGBW series, the supply chain for CS8812 12V individually addressable RGBW LED strips is more stable than WS2815.

Revolutionary Dual-Bus Control Architecture

These individually addressable RGBW led strips deliver SPI control signals to each LED via DI/DO, BI/BO two data lines (4-pin female and male JST connectors at both sides), each RGBW LED has a built-in microcontroller (CS8812 IC) that receives and parses these signals to independently control its color and brightness. This IC-driven approach allows each RGBW LED to be treated as an individual pixel, enabling highly sophisticated lighting effects.

Professional-Grade Heat Dissipation Solution

To reduce the temperature during operation of the high-density 96-light/m and 144-light/m 12V RGBW pixel types, it is advisable to use aluminum led profiles as mounting channels to enhance heat dissipation. 12-volt DC power supply is required.

Which controller does this LED strip light need?
Addressable LED strip lights take a data signal, so they need an SPI (pixel) controller that supports this IC — an ordinary RGB controller will not drive them. Data flows one way: connect the controller to the input end marked with the arrow. Wiring addressable LED strip lights
Do I need power injection?
