Application Scenarios
How to Install This IP67 Solderless Connector
- Ensure all power is disconnected before installation.
- Cut your 10mm RGB strip on the designated copper cut line.
- Open the transparent cover of the Hippo buckle connector.
- Insert the end of the LED strip into the connector. Make sure the four copper pads on the strip align perfectly under the four internal pins.
- Insert the four corresponding power wires into their channels on the other side of the connector. No wire stripping is necessary.
- Firmly and evenly press the buckle down until it snaps securely shut. The internal blades will pierce both the strip's casing and the wire's insulation.
- Tug gently on the LED strip and the wires to confirm a solid, secure connection is made.
- Your waterproof connection is now complete. You can now restore power.
- Double-check that the polarity (+, G, R, B) on the strip aligns with your power wires before closing the buckle.
- This connector is specifically designed for 10mm 4-pin RGB strips with a protective waterproof coating. It is not recommended for non-waterproof (IP20) strips.
- To maintain the IP67 waterproof integrity, ensure the connector is fully snapped shut on all sides.
- The connector is intended for a one-time, permanent installation. Reopening and closing it may compromise the waterproof seal and the piercing contacts.
