Application Scenarios
How to Install & Use These LED Pixel Modules
- Plan your layout. Arrange the 20 modules to fit the shape of your sign or display before permanent mounting.
- Ensure the mounting surface is clean, dry, and free from dust or oils for a secure fit.
- Mount each module securely. Use screws for permanent installations.
- Connect a compatible 12V power supply to the 3-pin JST SM male input connector. Ensure polarity is correct: Red to +12V and Green to GND.
- Connect the White data wire to the data output of an addressable LED controller that supports the WS2811 protocol.
- To extend your display, connect the JST female output of the first string to the JST male input of the next string.
- Always use a regulated DC12V power source. Applying incorrect voltage will permanently damage the modules.
- For long runs (more than 2-3 strings connected in series), you must inject power in parallel to prevent voltage drop, which can cause color inaccuracies and dimming.
- You must use an addressable LED controller designed for pixel LEDs that specifically supports the WS2811 IC chipset to achieve color-changing effects.
